I meant that if you were to condense or boil down their sound, what makes them so amazing and "random" and heavy , to Me, "I" has all the elements that make Meshuggah the band that metal nerds, actually, music enthusiasts, fall for head over heels, this song/EP "I" is the most complete display of all that makes them unique and challenging and intriguing in one song. But if you're keeping score at home, it isn't even a song they play at all. So THEY, don't even "like" it and don't play it live because, according to the interviews I've seen/read, it is, too random and lacks a thru line or melodic cohesion. However, I still like that if you break the song down, you can almost chart their sonic eras , all in one 21 min TIGHT song. Y'know what I mean? I personally was super into Obzen over Catch back when it came out. Actually, every time they release an album, they kinda outdo themselves which to me, makes every release so fun.

This is exactly why i love them so much. Many bands will make music that makes you feel sadness or pain reminiscent to a time in life you dealt with, or music that makes you feel happy for the same reasons, but very few bands can truly capture anxiety and concerted chaos in sonic form. Meshuggah is one of those bands, and they forever hold a place in my heart.
I can only imagine hearing that for the first time at a high volume with those awesome headphones on!!! Geebz you keep rocking man! Your good spirit is contagious and much needed!
Outstanding choice - this is Meshuggah's greatest song imho. This whole section is like a masterfully directed horror film, musically speaking. The cleans remind me of Gyorgi Ligeti (2001 A Space Odyssey soundtrack)

So so hard to pick a specific track, but I'd suggest Johnny Menomic. This band is like if Meshuggah and Strapping Young Lad got locked in a room together with 5 pounds of speed and this is what they came up with. Heavy heavy brutal stuff. Feels like getting punched. And I love it.
