I really appreciate this style of video, it feels more like an in depth discussion with the viewer rather than a lesson where you are told "You need to do it like this."
    Top notch!

Operating on the viscosity spectrum. From heavy body paint down to barely tinted water (assuming we are talking acrylics). During the transition from one side to the other, we have stops at different viscosities. Out of the bottle (changes bottle to bottle, even with the same manufacturer). Next would be "air brush ready" paints. This is a pretty good starting point for putting paint on a model. Down a little more and we have thin enough for an air brush. This is also a good place for layering consistency. Keep going down and you get to shading. Down some more and we get to glazing. Beyond this point we get into time commitment issues where the paint is so thin, your returns per brush stroke are minimal. Beyond that, you have brush water. Don't drink it.

This rules. Really really enjoy it. Hope to pop on the patreon at some point to give you guys some support. Any plans to do merch at any point? Would be happy to support in that way too.

Thanks man I’m glad you are digging it! its quite early days for us still. We’re probably a ways out before we can even really consider merch but hopefully one day. Our Patreon is up but we’re only just getting going. Thanks again!

23:01 is it ok to use prethinned stuff like shades and contrasts for this aswell?

Your minis look great and you have a really cool contrasty style! Killer production value videos too, I've enjoyed your backlog.
One suggestion: can you show longer example painting clips? It's hard to learn from short clips. For example, with the figure at 6:54 - can we see the progression of layers as they are applied to the thigh? Just a second or two of each layer and maybe show the paint consistency for the highlight layers. PiP your video into the corner if it feels like too long spent on one shot. :)
If patreon makes building your channel more sustainable, do it! Some reward ideas that I find compelling: 1) longer unedited videos of you painting, with commentary or not. 2) coaching for 30 minutes or an hour a couple times a month. Seems like it could be real income for you and also fertile soil for video ideas.

Thank you so much for your kind words! Also thank you for your feedback and input, those are some really great ideas! As we are new to this we still have so much to learn but this kind of feedback will really help us push to be better. We are absolutely planning on doing longer painting clips but we are still figuring out how to put it all together-love the PiP idea and voiceover. We’ll try to experiment with some of that soon. Thank you so much again.
