The reason Goku had to go KK*4 is because of Garlick multiplier, not Kameha one. I’m 23 minutes into SAO Abridged ep 11 where you geek out to the Kayaba vs Kirito fight, and I’m glad to see the next DBZA episode, as we draw closer to the GOATed fights (Freeza cut down for better pacing, Cell, Broly etc). These Kai episodes are so hysterical, the Jokes Per Minute is through the roof!

Vegeta being an elite is even better at it than Goku, but his pride stops him from actually doing it 99.9% of the time and he forces himself to make his own stuff instead... they are badass though.

The canon reason appears to be that flattening a ki ball is not a unique thing for powerful fighters, but Krillin- who is particularly good with manipulating ki- was the first of the Z fighters shown to have figured it out on screen.

I think the reason Toriyama got rid of the tails was because he said they were really annoying to draw, like he kept thinking "okay but do they have a hole specifically for the tail or does it just pop out of their waistband" and he just got sick of it so he stopped drawing them, with the implication that they're removed at birth Which makes sense for Goten, in that Goku and Chi-Chi never removed Gohan's tail, because Goku didn't find out he was the "monster" (Great Ape) who killed Grandpa Gohan until his fight with Vegeta I guess Goku wasn't part of the decision since he was dead and all, but Chi-Chi probably heard about Vegeta's Giant Monkey... Form For Trunks... idk, Vegeta was dead 3 years into the future timeline, and probably deferred to Bulma for parenting decisions in the current timeline, and seeing as Bulma witnessed Goku's Oozaru form up close as a child, yeah
In my opinion, you shouldn't take too much of pressure on which order things should be watched. I noticed many comments suggesting orders depending on different aspects. Sometimes episodes and movies have callbacks with each other but I pick some jokes after howmanyeth re-watch. It's safe to say you cannot go wrong if you follow the episode order and later add special and movies. In the end as long as you are comfortable with the choice you made and enjoy the show, you'll be fine. Now I'll go eat my other words since I was one of those asking you watch Kai Episode 1. Super late into this whole affair, but I'm glad I found this channel- at least to watch you react to seeing Abridged for the first time. I will say that there's totally nothing wrong with having watched Kai first or liking Kai in general btw. I grew up watching the Americanized Dragonball Z, and I still prefer Kai honestly. Dragonball Z definitely suffered from having a ton of filler inside of the episodes themselves. There's a few instances where this happened, but the fight with Freeza was probably the most obvious. What basically happened was that the anime got too close to the manga in terms of releases, so they had to stall for time. This was something that happened over a long period of time with it not really being a problem with the original Dragonball, but the speed that the anime was adapted was poorly handled later on as they didn't think that the manga was going to keep going on for so long. Kai really solved a lot of those issues. There is some filler stuff that wasn't so bad like Goku falling off Snake Way and going to Hell, but those self-contained filler arcs aren't nearly as bad as the in fight filler. Either way, I'm glad you've gotten to enjoy Abridged and I'm glad you got introduced to Dragonball in the first place. It was a great show for me growing up, and I was glad Kai was introduced so it could be a great show for kids to watch growing up again. :) PS. I also skip all the Naruto filler lol

the movies, depends and it's kind of up to you, the Christmas tree came out before season 2 i think, dead zone and worlds strongest are iffy, they chronologically come before season 2 in the story (dead zone before episode 1 even) but season 2 was releasing in 2010 and deadzone wasn't released until 2013 and worlds strongest was in 2016 and defiantly has jokes that are about season 2 stuff at the end of the day story chronological vs release date is up to you
I think Vegeta just did a Energy Cutter like what Frieza does. I can't remember if there is anything specially special about Krillin's Destructo Disc or not.
See I'm not as young as I might look. Not old, but not _that_ young. I grew up on the OG DBZ. In many ways Kai is more ideal, but there's one reason why I never could get into watching it. They took out the Bruce Faulconer music. The biggest sin against anime. DBZ just isn't the same without his music. Vegeta's theme, Goku's SSJ3 theme, Gohan's theme. It's not the same without them. The scenes lose their... intensity. Those jams are so good that I'll sit through weeks of Goku in a beam struggle with someone just to hear it lol. It's worth re-watching the whole OG DBZ series just to hear it.
I assume destructo disk is an easy technique to learn cus frieza copied it from krillin after krillin used it to cut off his tail now that I think about it as iconic krillin's death in the frieza saga it would of been funny if he used the destructo disk to krillin as payback for his tail
The movies are all great, and I definitely recommend them all. But the original versions weren't canon, and don't affect the plot of the series, so you don't really miss out on anything by watching them out of order. Up to you, really. I don't know if it's an official explanation anywhere, but Goku can copy just about any attack he sees, so it's reasonable that Vegeta could do the same. I vaguely remember a line where Goku says something along the lines of no attack will work on him twice because his body learns it
Trunks and Goten, do not have tales, because..... Akira Toriyama forgot about them... It's like Launch... We see her in the Saiyan Saga and at the end of the Buu Saga...

I prefer the original DBZ over Kai, at least now with the fast forward button ability acquired. Although some of the filler are terrible for sure like the Bulma and Captain Ginyu body swapping nonsense (which happened during Freeza andd Goku's fight much to the annoyance of people all over the world), there are some good ones, like Vegeta remembering how Freeza and his henchmen humiliated him after a mission in the past, and how he planned to kill him for a long time in secret.
Honestly? I was gonna say one thing for the order, but I think Bread and Circus has the right idea, just go by Tfs release order so jokes and stuff make sense. I think that you are laboring under a misconception, you don't need to watch the movies right now, cause here's the thing, almost none of movies are canon , even to DBZAs canon , the only thing that is gained is your own personal enjoyment and getting some one off jokes/ references . If you want to watch one I'd start with Deadzone, cause it's the better of all the early DBZ movies. And yeah alot of the abridged series creators know and collaborate together LK and TFS have lots of cross voice acting in Yu-Gi-Oh TAS and DBZA , and they are not the only ones, YamatoSFX , the voice of Kirito in something witty entertainment's SAO parody also does the voice of Shirou Emiya in project mouthwash's Fate stay Night unlimited bladeworks parody.

See I'm not as young as I might look. Not old, but not _that_ young. I grew up on the OG DBZ. In many ways Kai is more ideal, but there's one reason why I never could get into watching it.
They took out the Bruce Faulconer music. The biggest sin against anime.
DBZ just isn't the same without his music. Vegeta's theme, Goku's SSJ3 theme, Gohan's theme. It's not the same without them. The scenes lose their... intensity. Those jams are so good that I'll sit through weeks of Goku in a beam struggle with someone just to hear it lol. It's worth re-watching the whole OG DBZ series just to hear it.
DBZ Kai Abridged is just DBZ abridged summarized with some new jokes. in my opinion you wouldn't be missing much if you didn't watch them.

I think thats just how energy works in dbz, pretty much anyone can do any move, the destructo disk is pretty much just a sharp disk shaped ki blast

I assume destructo disk is an easy technique to learn cus frieza copied it from krillin after krillin used it to cut off his tail now that I think about it as iconic krillin's death in the frieza saga it would of been funny if he used the destructo disk to krillin as payback for his tail

given that frieza also uses a type of energy disc, I'd bet that energy disc attacks are relatively common in the galaxy.

The movies are all great, and I definitely recommend them all. But the original versions weren't canon, and don't affect the plot of the series, so you don't really miss out on anything by watching them out of order. Up to you, really.
I don't know if it's an official explanation anywhere, but Goku can copy just about any attack he sees, so it's reasonable that Vegeta could do the same. I vaguely remember a line where Goku says something along the lines of no attack will work on him twice because his body learns it

Follow others if you like, but my list is narrative/joke based. I dare you to find a better list that actually has a narrative reason.

I prefer the original DBZ over Kai, at least now with the fast forward button ability acquired. Although some of the filler are terrible for sure like the Bulma and Captain Ginyu body swapping nonsense (which happened during Freeza andd Goku's fight much to the annoyance of people all over the world), there are some good ones, like Vegeta remembering how Freeza and his henchmen humiliated him after a mission in the past, and how he planned to kill him for a long time in secret.
Honestly? I was gonna say one thing for the order, but I think Bread and Circus has the right idea, just go by Tfs release order so jokes and stuff make sense. There's another couple little songs too you could probably add onto a Kai video later or something, people will probably warn you about them when they would make sense.

I think that you are laboring under a misconception, you don't need to watch the movies right now, cause here's the thing, almost none of movies are canon , even to DBZAs canon , the only thing that is gained is your own personal enjoyment and getting some one off jokes/ references .
If you want to watch one I'd start with Deadzone, cause it's the better of all the early DBZ movies.
And yeah alot of the abridged series creators know and collaborate together LK and TFS have lots of cross voice acting in Yu-Gi-Oh TAS and DBZA , and they are not the only ones, YamatoSFX , the voice of Kirito in something witty entertainment's SAO parody also does the voice of Shirou Emiya in project mouthwash's Fate stay Night unlimited bladeworks parody.
