This is the first time I have heard of simulated French seam. I appreciated your focus on experimentation with different seam finishes. I like all your makes and bold fabric and trim choices! I have a similar tunic pattern - seeing your makes, I am inspired to sew it now. Keep the joy!
Oh my goodness. Those tunics are FANTASTIC!! I have purchased The Tunic Bible and 2 Big 4 patterns. I don't have unfinished work....I have never started work....I will. I will. I will.
Does anyone else get excited when they see "their" fabric in a video? 😄 I recognized the brown tropical print behind you before you even got to it in your garments. I used it years ago to make a strip quilt I call "Tropical punch!" I love it in your tunics.
Thank you! Yes. I do get excited when I see “my” fabric in a video. 😊. Tropical Punch! I love it! Bet that turned out nice. I loved working with this fabric AND it’s nice to look at! Thanks for watching and commenting! Take care!
This is the first time I have heard about a simulated French seam - looks like good option. I appreciated your experimentation and focus on alternative seam finishes. Very interesting. Love your bold fabric and trim choices - makes your looks fabulous.
My favorite is the Ankara tunic, then the hot pink. The Eiffel tower fabric makes me think of Neapolitan ice cream. Whatever you make with it will be yummy! 😋
Another tip I use when setting in a sleeve is to sew the sleeve in before I make the side seam. Put the sleeve on the bottom and the pressure foot and teeth will put it in perfectly. Your outfits look fantastic!
Your tunics are gorgeous! I love your fabric choices. The last print really struck me as being extra classy, but they are all so much fun!! You’re a girl after my heart with the fun fabric mixing and matching! And thanks for showing us a “big 4” pattern…I struggle to find those due to so many indie pattern converts. I subscribed in hopes that you share more of the Big 4 with your beautiful fabric choices! Great video!
Why thank you! Such kind and encouraging words. To be honest I don’t own very many Indie Patterns. I have a few that I won in a contest years ago and that’s about it. Thanks for subscribing! You’re in for a treat! 😊. Take care!
I think your fave is my FIRST favorite. 😊. Definitely my favorite of all the browns. The Ankara is a fave too. They just keep growing on me! 😉. Thank you for commenting and thank you for tuning in! Take care!
I like all of your tunics, but especially the fuchsia with black high heels trim. I hope you will get to sell your tunics in the future. Practice makes perfect.
I love all the outfits. The tops with different fabrics are so pretty. Love the jumpsuit yeah it’s a little big but the belt helps a lot. You are very talented. Love the prints and bold colors.
Oh, I loved the floral that you pinked finished same floral pattern as the long one! Loved the contrast colors you choose and what a beautiful person you are! Thank you for sharing your skill as I am learning and would love to make some tunics! I love them and have quite a few commercial sewn ones! Using my stash seams to be such a monumental task but you are motivating me! Thank you!
We’ll hey Leah! Glad to hear I’m motivating you. Your comments are motivating me…isn’t that nice how that works. Tunics are so classic! I just love them! Thanks for watching and commenting! Take care!
These are all so cute. I checked out the pattern and I never would have been interested in it if I hadn’t seen what you’ve done with it. Cute as they can be
PS. When you show the insides, could you please bring it closer to the camera?? I am so very interested. Also I am interested in the fabric content?? Are these cotton??
Yes. Yes. I will just for you! 😊. Everything in that Round was made from some form of cotton except for the solid pink, it had more rayon/linen in it. Not exactly sure but wouldn’t categorize it as cotton. Thanks for tuning in!
Hi Margaret. What does this mean exactly? Let me guess…you have unfinished project to start? YOU CAN DO IT MARGARET! I’ll be sewing up all sorts of things to share. You just gotta stay tuned…😊. Thanks for tuning in!
Nice to see someone with class on you tube. Well done.
Thank you for such a nice compliment! I appreciate it! 😊

You look really darling in that jumpsuit.

LOVE them all but especially the short tunic with the green Rick rack!💕💕💕
Thank you! 😊
Love how you are taking different techniques to finish the same garment.
Hi Sonia. Just wanted some other options. Thank you!
The sleeve finish and your comments about it had me laughing. I love the “foot stomp” with it!🤣
😂😂😂
I love that you are focusing on UFOs. This is very inspirational. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Natasha. Your comment is encouraging. I’ve got to get back to it. I can see the finish line. Thanks for watching. Take care.

My favorite is the Ankara tunic, then the hot pink. The Eiffel tower fabric makes me think of Neapolitan ice cream. Whatever you make with it will be yummy! 😋

Oh yeah…let the dog feeds do all the work. Do you have a video on that? 😊
I love the African print.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Also love that jumpsuit and agree that you could go down a size or two. It looks great on you!
Thank you! And thanks for tuning in!

And yes, I love how you make the inside look as beautiful as the outside.
Thank you okirp! I had to grow into it. It hasn’t always been this way. Thanks for tuning in. Hope ALL is well with you. Take care!
I haven’t heard of a simulated French seam before but I like it.
I hadn’t either. I like it too.
Love all the tunics but my fave was the 4th with the lime green accents and pink rickrack. The Ankara was nice too. Great summer and cruise wear.
I think your fave is my FIRST favorite. 😊. Definitely my favorite of all the browns. The Ankara is a fave too. They just keep growing on me! 😉. Thank you for commenting and thank you for tuning in! Take care!

When you pivot try making two stitches across the point instead of one… 🙂
Thanks Marty. I’ll try it. That’s one skill I plan to master…video? 😂
