Cool. Most interesting to me. I just been strengthening bamboo joints using fibreglass mesh tape and PVA. I never knew similiar was being done. What i could add to this video is it helps to squeeze mould the finish joint with your hand. I also just painted straight PVA around over the top of it.

It is a braided cord but I don't know what the fibers are
