I only started taking GBL seriously 3 seasons ago, and each season I have gotten closer to legend. The season I came heartbreakingly close. I finished my sets yesterday at 2950 elo. Normally I would save my battles on the last day for the start of the new season, but since I was so close I decided I’d have to give it a shot. I went 3-2 in my first set and climbed to 2966. Unfortunately, I had to leave for work after that set, and the wifi at work is not always the best. I went 1-4 in a set due to lag and dropped back down to 2923. By the time I finish work and get home, the new season will have started 😔.

I can't deny this is a fabulous team, but I always seemed to get Medichan+Bastiodon cores (Ace Rank) almost every set, and its an instant loss. I would say this team performs well at different ranks, but the core you have mentioned practically ends this right when the match starts.

My main team lately has been shadow beedrill, obstagoon and swampert. Half the time people run Azumarill, Umbreon, Scrafty, or that ghost tree (whatever the name is lol). Beedrill has been my main go to with them.
One month later and still relevant. Went up 275 elo in one day with this team. Sitting at 2200+ now. Haven’t been able to crack 2250+ with exception of kanto cup … looking to crush beyond veteran! My second GBL season FYI. Thanks for the walk through! Just posting a team doesn’t really do much without a solid explanation. Decided to abandon my hopes in getting high pvp IV on the mandibuzz (mines 57% for GL) and it puts in WORK.
Well actually Hydro cannon is always better becoz the other charge moves are hard hitting but they take a lot time to charge up. Whereas Hydro cannon does a good amount of damage with requiring less energy
@@AmitM_15 I'm well aware of that. But hydro cannon requires an elite TM to get. Luckily community day this month will allow me to learn it, but it's currently not an option.

Great - just faced this team in GL with my Dedenne/DeoxysD/Gunfisk team and beat it also because of this video. He stayed in with Empoleon lead though up to the first HC, which might have been a slight mistake.
PvPoke still rates the coverage as D? What about all the azumarills, registeels and other like water and steel types which this team doesnt have a good answer agaisnt. I'm trying to learn so would someone tell me how to beat those difficult matchups becouse e.g. azu is very common.
Used nine tales empoleon and scrafty instead , you now have a counter to gfisks and that team is veryy strong if you draw out the fighters against the nine tales , empoleon and scrafty literally break teams :))
I see your mandibuzz is not PVP IV. I'm a newer player, how important do you think PVP IVs are for a beginner? Clearly, you've invested into the Mandibuzz even with it's poor IVs, I just want to know if I should ait for a decent mandibuzz or just power one up that's so so in IVs (I am only free to play to limited dust available to me)
I can see the stats on Empoleon and Ninetales aren’t all that good. Which makes me wonder if they actually matter? I’m always looking for Pokémon with the best possible stats.. I’m new to Pokémon GO battle so I’m trying to learn as I go.

Mandibuzz is such an underrated safe swap. I don't want to speak of it so much because everyone will start using it lol but it's been my MVP the past 2-3 seasons. Whenever my team is struggling, I swap in Mandi.
