    Awesome video Brian and great to see you back. I have to say, I have a BLI locomotive and I still get more enjoyment out of the toaster. Take care. Sean.

    Brian, I was wondering where you were and what you were doing and now I know, making toast. You really need an NMRA gauge as you will sometimes find wheels on engines and cars either too wide or narrow on many items. I would recommend getting one. Have fun like you appear to be.....John

      @brianpagemodeltrains  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey John, yeah, I'll get a gage one of these days, I need a coupler height gage as well. Never underestimate toast and coffee with model trains!

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I guess, int he end, it's do you wanted heated and browned bread, or trains to run on the layout... there's your decision for the final winner. Depending on the moment, one is better. lol Anyhow, good to see you back. I hope things have gotten to a point where you can post now and then.

      Yeah, if the toaster fit the track, it would be the perfect solution. It's getting better, thanks Anthony!

    I may have missed it, but how well does the locomotive make toast? Great review and comparison. Very unique and nowadays that’s what we need, something different. Lol. -Mark

    • @brianpagemodeltrains
      @brianpagemodeltrains  ปีที่แล้ว

      You know what, that's a good question, but I don't think my BLI does anything very well, including making toast!

    I owned a BLI loco years ago, when Harrison Ford was an unknown. Was disappointed then, can't imagine now. After Star Wars, much the same copld be said about Mr. Ford....{imho].

      @@brianpagemodeltrains still sorry to hear this, BLI’s look so good, like cinnamon toast. To bad they all don’t run as well.

      @@brianpagemodeltrains Paragon 3 was really hit or miss, with lots of issues for some (like you), and decent running for others. They seem to have improved a bit with Paragon 4, but I don't blame you for avoiding them. With ScaleTrains buying FVM, we should see some more quality n-scale locos from them. Kato also seems to be upping the details and looks a bit too.

    • @brianpagemodeltrains
      @brianpagemodeltrains  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have a Paragon 4, but I hope they are better than my 3. But it's running ok after some tweaking.

    • @brianpagemodeltrains
      @brianpagemodeltrains  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@acrranscaleandlifejourney4330 - It's alright, after I re-did some CVs with JMRI. I just don't think I should have to do that after spending that much money. The Paragon 3 lack of quality control was a well known issue.

      I've heard that the BLI steam engines are quite good, I think I just got one of the diesels that failed their crappy quality control.

    Hey Brother B I Really need that Toaster actually a 4 slot would be the Ticket as much as my Dad eat's in the Morning he's part Oscar the Grouch & cookie 🍪 Monster.. Just old age & being a Nam Veteran i Guess.. On the Broadway I've heard 👂 some say there Engines are Detail sharp but fall really short on the Electrical part I'd like to Try a switch Engine but I'm still hesitant.. On Scaletrains Engines my First was a UP i didn't have to Good luck with it actually Ran for a Very Short run then it stopped completely i tried gently giving it a finger push i checked the Wheels they we're in check so I removed the Shell checked all of the Running gear lubed with a very small amount on the gear Tower the Gears & the dog bone it should've Ran but all it Done after reinstalling the shell was the lights came on.. As for my BNSF its been an Awesome Engine to Run Right out of the Box 📦 I didn't have to test run it Brian just Ran it to me it's like a Kato with the Extra Fancy built in..
    On my KATO'S I finally got it Done Brian got all of my Heritage Engines plus 8444 most of them are Sound 3 have non Sound but I can live with that for a While how I was able go Sound was fairly easy back in 2020 & in 2021 when we all was loaved with stimulus checks I invested in my layout i bought 5 SD70ACE'S including 9041, 9066, 9088 the Other 2 road numbers i forgot sorry my memory buying all 5 Engines @ the same time I got a little discount.. So when I learned that KATO was doing the Heritage sets again a brain fart went off in my Head which told me dummy why not see if the Hobby Shop still has some extra Engines with Lok Sound they did so I repeated the process and now I had Lok Sound Frames for the Heritage Engines that we're to come out as KATO' released the DC Engines I bought them pulled the Shell Gently & Done the Modes as was shown by there Kobo shop Installer Kelly he's Doing installation's for Kato but has his own Mill machine and does custom Work on his Own the only thing that is different on my Engines the Tanks & Trucks are Armor Gray which I believe makes the model look better this also helps if your Running on friends layout and at the end of the Day you know your taking your Engine home with you..
    Take Care Brian.. O we've made some changes on the Layout stop by let me know what think..
