@@hollydaysatsea We will most certainly try. Lol.
I have been looking at reviews on cruise critic to see how people have liked the ship as it's been in the Mediterranean. The reviews have been mixed older more seasoned travelers complaining and people our age mid to late 50's pretty happy with the experience.
I know when a new ship comes out it takes a few months for the crew to settle in so by the time we sail end of December the ship will have been sailing 8 months roughly. Either way we are excited to sail on a upscale luxury experience with less people and have herd nice things about Oceania and how it's a step up from say Celebrity cruise line.

Thank you for such a detailed review...I was looking for information on their laundrettes, and I'm glad I came across your video. The culinary classes are more expensive now btw, just booked one - it is now 120 CAD which is about 90 USD.

How dressy were the dinners? We are looking to get dressed up!

On the formal nights most people dressed up in tuxedos and beautiful dresses. On other nights it was mixed and many passengers were dressed smart/casual. I always like to dress up too each evening.

For dinners it’s not formal wear but it is smart/casual. I always like to wear a nice dress for dinner and gents tend to wear a nice suit or trousers and a nice shirt :-)

thanks a lot for your great review. We have never traveled in Viking or Oceania. This august get our first Viking around England Isles, but next year we booked two cruises, we have to choose one, Viking from Reikiavic to New York (we already knew Reikiavic), or Oceania Allura (inaugural) from Lisbon to New York, both of them 14 nights and more less same dates. People, help us. Which one you choose and why please. We will appreciate your reviews, thanks in advance. Federico

Thankyou so much for your positive feedback. I haven’t sailed with Viking Ocean cruises but I am a huge fan of Oceania and the Vista was incredible in every way. The spa area and the outdoor spa was a favourite and the food really is some of the best at sea. I would definitely been recommending the Allura! I hope this helps x
