  • Why Malaysia will be bigger than Singapore? Malaysia is around 459 times bigger than Singapore. Singapore is approximately 719 square km, while Malaysia is about 329,847 square km, making Malaysia, the city of the future, 45,763% larger than Singapore.

The Malaysian economy has steadily been growing over the past years. #malaysia is the 4th-largest economy in Southeast Asia. It is a newly industrialized market economy that is relatively open despite being state-oriented.
Malaysia is a country that is always looking to innovate. New #megaproject such as Penang South Island, a $7 billion man-made island called Penang South Island, is just an example of the rising country’s new development plans.
The salaries in both countries are higher. But, Malaysians are more likely to earn a higher salary in #singapore . Compared to Singapore, Malaysians earn more money per year. While their salaries are lower than their counterparts in the region, Malaysians can expect to receive more bang for their buck. For instance, Singaporeans are willing to pay three times as much as Singaporeans do. That isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Actually, Malaysia once included Singapore. These two nations were once British colonies and have a common history. Singapore's development is more centralised on an island, whereas Malaysia's development is more diffuse. The advantage of Malaysia is its weaker currency, which makes goods and services much less expensive than in Singapore. More nature is available in Malaysia than in Singapore, making the tourism industry there simpler and more affordable. Singapore no longer has any traditional villages, but Malaysia still has plenty of them. As a result, if you choose Malaysia, you have numerous possibilities for exploring natural areas.

@@secrets.295 Thank u for sharing your thoughts. Would u know d latest amount of average income per capita to achieve d status of a developed country with a high income. Malaysia, is still rapidly developing, n there r still many rurals areas, yet to be developed. I was working at Isis Malaysia, a govt think tank, when a paperwork called Malaysia The Way Forward was presented in a Malaysian Business Council seating, n d paperwork presented by d former PM, Tun M, was made Vision 2020 in 1990. I realized later that d vision didn't take into considerations many factors that govern equitable shares among all Malaysian. In another word, I'm trying to inform that once Malaysia achieved a fully developed country, d quality of living will commensurate with d high cost of living, in turn d middle income group n d lower income group will struggle to survive. Few weeks ago, our PM reported that d 20% high income Malaysian holds 47% of d wealth in this country, ie d rest 80% onky holds 53%. It's not too bad compared to a survey by DW, about a decade ago, claiming that 10% of d world's population holds 90% of d wealth in d world n d rest 90% holds only 10% of d wealth in d world. That is a really big gap between all people in d world. I used to look forward to seeing Malaysia as a fully developed country but for now I would like to remain optimistic for Malaysia to move forward, to a status, better than a developed country with an average high income per capita that will ensure all d people in Malaysia enjoy a better quality of living. 😀

UM marked the uniqueness of the co-existence of Malaysia and Singapore that both countries cannot be separated in both intellectually, socially, and spiritually that combined the economic strengths of both countries that they really need each other and support each other whether for good or for bad.

It is almost impossible to fail with its abundance of natural resources and land which Singapore doesn't have. Singapore is a small country. Malaysia is ALREADY bigger than Singapore in terms of land and population. Singapore has NO natural resources. Malaysia is BLESSED with oil, farmland, minerals, etc. IOW, MY has LOTS OF POTENTIAL. To bet on Malaysia being BIGGER is a no-brainer... until you look at MY's history and track record of corruption, mismanagement, dubious "investments", and other self-sabotaging policies. The video should have focused on WHY MALAYSIA HAS A LOT OF POTENTIAL, and perhaps HOW MALAYSIA CAN REACH HER FULL POTENTIAL. Whether Malaysia will be Bigger than Singapore is a moot point. It already is in many ways. But in many other ways it has NOT reach her full potential. Singapore did not intend to be "bigger" than Malaysia. Singapore just strove to make life for Singaporeans better and better every year. That we are "better" than Malaysia is less about how much Singapore has progressed, and more about how Malaysia had failed to maximise her Potential and be all MY can be.
