I love that Carlo is doing things when the wife is gone. He's putting his own stamp on the house and he's being creative all on his own. LOVE IT - keep it up Carlo!!!! The porch turned out amazing. The chairs..I would paint the wood and change the covers and add pillows. This is a perfect lesson to all of us that we need to let go of control and let others flourish in their own way vs our way.
It's Carlos first house that is really his, same for Nicki? The house in Positano, I think is owned by his family? The low wall turns the covered terrace into a beautiful, cozy surround. It looks like it was there forever. Nicki, maybe just a little controlling? Ya theenk? Just redo the cushions, maybe refinish the wood? So gratifying for Carlo, he can get things done without the old lady trying to boss him around.
Holly is too cute, always right there to help Poppa! Carlo should get her a little tool backpack. Such a sweet loving man, he takes such good care of his whole family. Nicki is a very lucky lady, a man who can do seemingly just about anything he sets his mind to. Carlo is an artist, Bravo Carlo, much respect, and love to you and Nicki in your LA Dolce Vida!

The dog wash area is a good idea but not sure wood was the right material for the job... I know he used what resources he had available, but ideally it would be better either aluminium or ceramic.

I have to say @NickiPositano I am very impressed by the viewer engagement on this video. Quite the hornet’s nest and a very clever way to get the viewers commenting and communicating. True, it has come at your expense, however I appreciate your courage at sharing your lives so openly and honestly. There are countless perfectly curated and overly positive TH-cam videos which often show only the highlights reel of a life but your lives in these videos are documented in ways many long lasting couples can relate to. We’re all capable of each and every trait and while positive comments have gone Carlo’s way I have no doubt the sweetest and softest part of Nicki is reserved for him, not to people please viewers. Dig deeper people, there’s a reason it works and let’s not be so judgemental that we end up losing this unique window into a life well lived.
I'm getting so pissed off with these thirsty women judging nikki. I'm worried that they will ruin it all, and she'll pack it in. She's giving us a unique perspective of her life and it's only possible by her and her hardwork.

The new wall with the flowers around the veranda looks like it has always been there. It really elevates the look of the whole house. Carlo, you did a great job!

When he started talking about it I thought it would be nice with a front wall & a back wall of blocks to plant flowers in between. My idea would have been twice the price & his looks way better than mine would have looked! (Good thing Carlo did it without asking my opinion🤗) Carlo has Great ideas and the knowhow to do the work but best of all the determination to finish👍the job!!!
I am so impressed with Carlo's handyman skills. He has so much talent. That porch/patio look so much better with the wall around it. I love how the house is coming together.

@@dahliadaydream6897 Yes, but I was referring to some of the comments which are personal attacks. We don’t ‘know’ Nicki or Carlo personally, just the weekly ‘snapshot’ they put on here. We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes between them and with their wider families. I notice that Carlo has replied to a couple of them, disagreeing with their viewpoints.

I am one of those women who is “lucky” to be married to a “Carlo”. I hear all the time how I’m lucky. But if you asked our husbands they’ll tell you they are the lucky ones 😉 folks need to respect Nicki for all the time she puts into her work and making these videos we enjoy weekly. Heck my husband was pushing me to post this in support of Nicki. Carlos is a lucky fella too!

You two crack me up. When the cat's away the mice will play. When Carlos leaves the handrail disappears, and when Nicky's away the patio furniture appears. I think used and refurbished outdoor furniture is ideal because no matter what you spend, the weather always degrades it and it has to be replaced. This way you don't have to spend a fortune every time. I think with a coat of outdoor paint, maybe a sage green and a lighter color green cushion, you could add throw pillows with splashes of terra cotta and green and you will have a lovely, cozy, outdoor space. That little housewares store you visited had some great ideas. Love your videos. Caio for now.

I agree with the soft green outdoor paint on the furniture and something for the cushions that will be weather worthy and dog safe. Add colour with toss cushions. The red cushions are not right but they will do, better than the blue.

I love that little wall. It would look lovely with round ball shaped lights on the little posts. I wish I had a Carlo, who would not just talk about a project he actually finishes it! It is absolutely beautiful. Just paint the wood on the outside furniture. I’m sure you’ll be happy with all his hard work and creative ideas. He’s an absolute gem.

I have great appreciation for Carlo's skills. he can do so many things. If it weren't for him, the remuneration costs for contractors for the same work would be huge.
So many opinions on their relationship and interactions. They have been together for 20 yrs , We only see part of their life, part of their communications. part of their conversations about plans, feelings etc etc. The comment section is out of hand. Both Nicki and Carlo have many wonderful aspects to them. There is genuine love between them. I'm sure these comments aren't just hurting Nicki, I'm sure they are also hurting Carlo because he loves Nicki and there is so much judgement happening. And only they know how much they have been dealing with in real life.
Well one thing's for certain, she got a ton of engagement. In TH-cam terms that is a very good thing and and this video will go into a ton of recommended feeds. Watch their views leap upward and subscriptions too.. I just don't think it was wise to delete and block a bunch of people

Some of us truly marvel at his good nature and hard work, but would also be horrified by that 1960's chunky wood furniture!!! :D :D :D Would you REALLY love it if your S.O. brought home furniture that you two had more than once decide NOT to buy? haha! I doubt it! She isn't mad of course, but it's now one more thing to do. AND if I had been looking forward to finding the perfect item for that spot and now I had that stuff instead (lol) , I'd be disappointed that I didn't get to spend my money on the nice things and also that I missed picking out something together.

I’m sure Nicki is not “mad” at all…just joking a bit about things that got done or purchased differently than they BOTH agreed. There is this phenomenon that other women try to remind you of how wonderful your husband is, almost shaking a finger at you to pay attention before they snatch him up, when you know perfectly well he’s a gem and you do appreciate him. My husband and I owned a business together. We could both be working equally hard and other women would “coo” over him constantly and talk about all that he did, and overlook my equal contributions. Carlo is wonderful, but the truth is they are an equal and wonderful TEAM. ❤❤

I agree, I know this house is Nicki's project as the other house was Carlos' families - but for something like a outdoor setting (at a bargain price!) i wouldn't be too critical of his choice. paint it a nice fun colour like the green they used elsewhere and let it go. He is such a good man, and so kind.

The transformation of the patio was phenomenal and looks incredible. The patio furniture looks wonderfully comfortable and sturdy. Maybe an ash color stain. I would applaud him for what he has done. He did it all with love.
Carlo doesn't just have fantastic skills, he has the vision to see how things can be and the knowledge to make them come true. The wall looks great and so do the plantings.

Overall, I wish some of your viewers would employ a little more humor and a lot less judgment in their assessments; especially regarding your relationship. As married partners, I assume you both recognize each others strengths and weaknesses.I actually find it refreshing that you both are so "real" on screen, when so many feel they have to put on a facade. It's not unusual for couples to delegate and divide overall aesthetic design vs. other types of contributions when renovating a home. With both of your efforts, the house is really becoming very charming. The porch wall is a stroke of genius! Looking forward to next week's video!

The dynamics of a couple are unique to them. Obviously, Nicki and Carlo have been together for many years, and they will be together and in love for a thousand more. How they interact works for them, and not only, how they interact is the mechanism that makes them as a couple/a family flourish and grow and be successful AND happy 360 degrees. If you don't like how they are, leave and go work on your own problems. As far as I'm concerned, Nicki and Carlo are both fabulous and complement each other perfectly. He is NOT her husband! She wrecked his marriage to Tomaso's mother, he never divorce and she has been shacking up with him all this time, which is why she NEVER has said she been "married" to him for x amount of years - she ALWAYS saids, "we've been together..."
The terrace looks amazing and the furniture is not ugly. Very classic! Maybe a coat of olive color paint and nice cushions. Carlo is so proud. He’s amazing.
Carlo is not only good at all these various types of jobs, he also has quite the eye for design. That veranda is just wonderful with the flowers and the two pots he placed. I vote ‘clone Carlo’; some of us need Carlo help!:)

The style of the chairs just reminds me of an old cabin in the woods. ( the spindles). Not vibing with a Tuscan villa ! If they can knock them out without compromising the structure and update the covers the wood color itself is not bad. For the price Carlo got them at it worth putting in some updating!

@DANUSIA11. You're right about Carlo, he is incredible and no job is too difficult for him. But - that 3 piece suite isn't at all adapt for a beautiful, Tuscan house. It's heavy looking and fussy and would be more suitable in an old-style American ranch. I'm glad though that Carlo made that mistake as everything else he does is amazing. And though Nicki can appear to seem bossy, she has really great taste in furnishing properties and I believe that Carlo is very proud of her and appreciates the lovely interiors she creates (just as Nicki will be very proud of all the hard work Carlo puts into making the house and all that land into a dream property. I admire them both. 🤩

You are so fortunate to have Carlo who can do so many things and he does have an eye for decorating and designing. The furniture he bought I rather like, its vintage and if you change the cushions first then see how you like it, you might just add some outdoor throw pillows to give it a little more rather than painting the beautiful dark wood, which I find actually goes well with the wall color - which you mentioned you will be painting the house a shade lighter than. Don't be disturbed by Carlo doing things without you, we don't always need to be in control, but embrace that he actually has an eye and vision that can melt in with yours.

We have to remember that Nicki lived in Carlo's family's house for many years. While it was very nice, it wasnt her own. I think Nicki is simply excited about her new house that is " her's" 😉. They've been together long enough that Carlo knows her personality, and vice versa 😊. God bless all 🙏 ( That said... I agree with Carlo about the beautiful stair railing that Nicki took down without his " permission" 😉, lol. )

The patio furniture that Carlo bought can be painted red or peach colour and will look wonderful, it weathered and should last more than you think, plus they are comfortable pieces, the new entrance that Carlo built makes the house look amazing, how lucky to have someone that can build anything…❤
Once the cushions are reupholstered they will be beautiful. My parents have that set in their porch and it’s so comfy. My mom chose a beautiful floral fabric and you focus on the pattern of the fabric and don’t notice the wood color. Add gorgeous pillows and a pretty throw and it will be perfect.

I think painting the outside furniture either sage or some kind of yellow would make a huge difference.

I will be leaving for the Amalfi Coast in two days & found you six weeks ago when researching a trip to Ischia. Since then I've treated myself to an episode a day, they're all so uplifting and I learn something with each one. I'm 68, was widowed at 40 & lost each of my parent's & a sibling in the past two years, my family is gone now, so it's been a true gift to me to be allowed to visit your life together and see how you both deal with what life presents you. Don't doubt yourself, your message or your presentation - you're a glimpse of a lovely life for everyone & I for one am grateful for you both! May your adventures never cease!

Don't leave the wood alone! It needs UV & rain protection. Personally I like the dark wood but maybe not the shiny. The cushions need water resistant fabric though

plastic looking wood . It was left unsold in the junk shop for months and months for a very good reason . Def not a bargain if u have to spend time & money painting , weather proofing and re-upholstering . Italian design can be either exquisite & tasteful or bog standard ugly and this one is def the latter .

The new walls look like they’ve always been there, looks amazing. And the dog wash area will not only keep your bathroom clean, it will save your backs not having to lean over while you wash the girls!
Carlo has a great heart full of goodness. It seems to me that he wants to make a contribution and he makes many many amazing ones. One can disagree with appreciation and kindness and/or a sense of humor not to hurt someone's feelings or with a little self-deprecation.

This video makes me want to buy a property in Tuscany and hire Carlo to do the restoration. Lol. I LOVE the little wall around the patio and the new flower border. The dog washing station is a good idea. I actually like the new patio furniture and the natural wood. It just needs to cushion covers. With the plants and flowers a lounger or hammock I could laze the day away in such a beautiful space. You guys are doing an amazing job with the renovation. Do not let the former owners anywhere near the property. Lol
