I am so happy I found you! I feel like you are describing my hair when you first started the cg journey. I have tryed to revived my curls but all the products I’ve tried were too havy for my hair and it get overwhelming for sure. I will follow these steps and work on my patience. I really think patience will be my challenge.
I’ve watched a few of your videos and love how realistic you are! I’ve been struggling with my hair ever since I’ve had my daughter and can’t seem to find my groove yet!
Hey thank you for ur videos I’ve watched many videos I found out I have 2a fine frizzy and dry high Porosity hair but confused on products I need I’ve dyed my hair a lot and stopped what routine and products do I need I’d appreciate it alot
Yes to remove silicones and buildup. Any shampoo with a sulfate that doesn't have silicones will do. Try a clarifying shampoo like Kinky Curly Come Clean.
I'm new to both your channel and CG in general. Do you have any tips on what to ask/look for when getting a haircut? I feel like the hairdresser I usually go to only has 1 default: blow dry my hair super straight.
I always ask them not to style or straighten my hair, just cut it. And I take my own products to be washed with. Then I style when I get home. I also tell them a slightly longer length than what I really want to account for shrinkage, and not razor! Take photos of examples in too as they helps them visualize better the shape.
No brushing even when hair is wet? I feel like my hair got more waves back when I used to brush it after I got out of the shower, versus now when I finger detangle it in the shower
Truly CG is no brushing ever. I used to use a brush to detangle but I don't need to anymore. I notice that when I use a brush I don't get good clumps, and then I end up with more frizz and less definition. But for some people a brush works. So experiment and do what works for your hair. 🙂

Is a Final wash always necessary? And which products do you recommend for that?

@@HolisticEnchilada Thanks for this! I'm trying to figure out how to tell this to my local hairdresser 😅
Some of my products have “Benzyl Alcohol”. I’m assuming I shouldn’t use them b/c of the alcohol but still want to check.
That's not one you need to worry about.
