I have one of these S1 robots and am having tons of fun with it - mostly with the Python programming of it as I am just learning. The unit is rugged and easy to assemble and reliable. It can be wicked fast and agile, or move with slow graceful precision. The laser is fun and gel bead cannon is really something else. The wheels are tough and solid but cannot be used on sand or dirt. Clean pavement or concrete or smooth wood or tile floors are best. Carpet deposits many fibers into the wheels requiring frequent cleaning. While a bit pricey, it's a truly excellent way to get kids into programming. You can wildly experiment with code and not have to worry about losing or crashing a flying vehicle. If you buy it just as a toy - it will collect dust in a short time. If you buy it as a Python programming platform - you'll be hacking on it for years... or at least until the S2 comes out...
@@RyanABC123LoL too far but there are other ways to go. I sold off both my S1 bots but had a blast with them. For younger children I recommend programmable Lego Mindstorms you can make a bazillion diff robots
Those tires being able to go any direction is a well good idea. They should implement that into real vehicles. Imagine how good parking would be lol. I wish I had a justification for buying one of these.
Is the gun a modular component that can be replaced with robotic arm? I'd prefer an arm with programmable claw than a cannon. Would be fun to program it to drive to a location in house, pick something up with its arm, and drives back to original location. "Get me a beer" is getting closer?
Looks nice 😃 how well is the camera? I’m looking for something like this, only for inspektions in tight spaces 🤓 I have learned that the DJI mavic 2, as well as 3, does not like smaller pipe dimensions less of 2 meters/ 6foot 6inches. It is very hard to maneuver 😅
I love it, great review! Well done DJI for creating this robot. Apple put technology’s together to make iPad, now DJI have done the same to make interactive robots. Best looking robot I have seen for a while. Thumbs up from me 👍
i hope DJI makes a version of having a home docking station for charging and wifi camera that can serve as a security camera inside the house . so it could go around the house
Seems like a strictly indoor machine, or it's limited to smooth, flat outdoor surfaces. There are no suspension. Wonder what happens when these rollers wear out.
im sorry BUT compared to a drone this seems boring and pointless ...now if it could clean the house or do Something useful...but basically it's a toy remote car ...whoop de doo
i didn't know i needed this until now

My kid is 6. How over his head and mine will this be?

The wheels are amazing.
Thank you..I m a teacher and wanted to try this for classroom programming...looks really fun...
This is the future of a new realistic world of tanks.

They came out with an S2 robot that comes with a claw. Sadly the amazing gel bead cannon has faded away...

Thanks for the video is very informative and helpful and determining whether to make a purchase of a DJI Robomaster

Are we overlooking dji made a drone with a cannon that tracks people
Is it upgradable?
I can see someone trying to replacing the bead cannon with a small mini gun that shoots real bullets 😳
This toy would be thrown back from the recoil and probably break into pieces
Is there a way to play sound effects that you have selected from the SD card in or from a program

Buy new rollers lol
@@ghosthawkk no.
This is a future rc toy
This is like what the kid was using in the original Purge movie (2013) 😆
Very cool
will it go in the back yard
shame it cant fire metal pellets with co2 cannisters...
Our future super computer programmer's are playing with these toys right now as we speak
AMAZING !!!!!
MY BROTHER ❤
SKYNET IS HERE!
Can you control this over the internet? I'd like to ride around from the other side of the world.
conqie you could use teamviewer to control a remote ipad that controls the robomaster
I would love to be able to afford one for my grandchildren and , I suspect, my son in law.
It's $500.
It cost 899$ in australia
DJI company good job ,good China company!but I love my mavic 2 pro!
zoom better.
Man why so serious? Nice review and walk through
A
VERY HIGH PRICE TAG. NOT AVAILABLE IN THE UK!
It's possible it wouldn't be legal here, thinking of airsoft guns anyway.
Umar Abid 400$? This is VERY cheap
wasted $$$$$
A toy for the rich?!
Bally Birdi 400$ . VERY , VERY - cheap. This is revolutionary.
Waste of money
