      I spotted those wheels and knew right away it would do things other RC's couldn't, but I wasn't expecting the fluid response, this is a game changer. all we need now is a Tony Stark ARC reactor to power it.

    $500 is veeeery cheap for this. Some of the basic branded RC cars are even more expensive than that. And they don’t come with FPV! I want oneeeee

    Agreed, the price is good for the amount and quality of the tech included. This robot is awesome, the way it moves, the look and I love that you build and program it. If the price was cheaper I think it would be nowhere near as good as this. Well done DJI I love it!

      you must not know much about the military lmao. Consumer products are generally far more advanced than systems used by the military. National governments have always waited for consumer/civilian products to be engineered privately, find ways to militarize it, then contract with that civilian agency/company.

    Robotics is my life, and I have to say it is very nice, only warning about mecanum wheels, they are very prone to small debris, the rollers can get stuck when outside, they are very difficult to clean, but they are very fun. I wish that you could put a gimbal on it such as ronin s for very fast ground shots

    Ok, cute little tank for playing...
    but imagine that DJI will put this tech into a slightly bigger, sturdier frame, with a gimbal on top, and you will have an RC camera dolly, what you can automate, and take smooth shots without the drone noise...

    I LOVE mec wheels. We use them most of the time in robotics. In fact my team was one of the first in the mid west!! Haha, gave us a massive advantage that year.

    I would LOVE *LOVE* *_LOVE_* to see them develop a legged robot like Boston Dynamics and turn it into a kit. I'd love it even more to see the two companies partner up for development projects and competitions like this. I'll just have to settle watching James Bruton's open source project for now, and the occasional update from BD, but it's still something I'm praying for.

    This is genius. STEM is huge in k-12 and I imagine many schools all over the world are going to be getting these in the future. They basically just created a new industry on their own. Not that robots didn't exist before but that this is the best implementation in a single package that I have seen.

    I want a Red one! These RoboMasters are brilliantly designed and executed! I am tempted. The implications are limitless, and I imagine encountering a life size one of these in a military environment. It is scary how maneuverable , and accurate these little bots are!

      These types of wheels are probably only good for applications in controlled environments. There are a lot of nooks and crannies that can lodge debris and little axels in each spinner wheel that can get bent out of shape. Can you imagine having so many tires on a wheel?

    I 3d printed these wheels and they're awesome. you can do vertical & horizontal movements at perfect 90 degrees. it's all based on the inner wheel rotation and i do believe these wheels are the future of road vehicles. no one has tested these wheels at over 100 mph so it'll be interesting to see how they fair or if it's possible & against other designs.

    So... It's using those gel pallets, but... They do seem to be the same 6mm as airsoft bbs, so could you theoretically load those too?
