      AMEN! He needs his own kick-ass band that had that power of Nevermore (whom I'd seen 4 album tours, one of which they headlined; "Dead Heart in a Dead World Tour" and "Opeth" opened for on their _Blackwater Park_ tour), but "Conquering Dystopia" was a great musical outlet (as well-as his solo albums). I'm surprised Loomis has been in AE for "9 years"! Wow.
      But Jeff! Grab your friend "Van Williams" to drum again, he is TOO underrated and should be well known. The man is a MACHINE!

      Jeff is a prog metal player all the way his years in Arch Enemy were great but as a solo artist he can now bring more of the complex side of his playing. on a side note the only reason he was rejected from megadeth was at the time Dave Mustaine thought he was too young. Jeff was 18 at the Megadeth audition. Good luck jeff with whatever you do frome here on out.

      Loomis is easier in the top 5 of metal guitarist ever, at the same level of monsters like friedman, becker, broderick, malmsteen but with angrier riffs in his solos, arch enemy its all about Amott, he always want to do everything and with a musician of the loomis.lvl you cant do that @@Pravdacz-tp8zu

      @@Pravdacz-tp8zuJeff Loomis is a wicked guitarist. Now I've only heard Arch Enemy like once but I am a guitarist so it seems to me that his talents aren't being utilized in Arch Enemy to fullest and that he could be doing way more music wise. Think putting a guy like Jimi Hendrix are Marty Friedman in a band like ACDC

    Jeff, from a talent perspective, is beyond this band! Has been from the get-go TBH! Somehow I am sure due to Amotts' crappy ego because he felt Jeff's writing skills did not fit the band's style, it was time for Jeff to get out of that cage. Jeff is a stand-up guy! Didn't we see a similar situation with Kiko with Mustaine? In any event, congrats to Joey as he's been around and is nothing short of a virtuoso.

      Take a listen to the 1st 3 albums with "Johan Liiva" on vocals, when they were heavier, a bit more complex, and had the "Buzzsaw" tone to their guitars, and those memorable melodic melodies/hooks in contrast to the brutality of that era.

      @MoCarcass 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I posted this with another video, - before Loomis left - but here goes: This is likely an unpopular opinion, but I do not “prefer” the Alissa version of Arch Enemy. Sure, they were progressive and a tad out there as far as melodeath goes with Angela, but now it’s some weird hybrid of classic melodeath and whatever Alissa’s fronting is attempting to be. Image aside - again, what is it? A Disney character, superhero or supermodel looks? - Even her vocals, trying to be really refined, diverse, understood, but not the same music anymore with the cleans - that affects the music, making it more like Five Finger Death Punch or the likes; the way she moves on stage, the gesticulation, even her facial expressions, just trying really hard to convey some tough metal chick but a supermodel image at the same time, everything, it’s just too much, it just does not fit together well. In her interviews, she also has this air of holier than thou, I’m-a-real-artist-but-I-look-and-sing-better-than-you look and attitude. Not the Arch Enemy that I used to like. I respect the music, the guitar playing (Jeff Loomis, I totally understand you, but would be nice to see you move on and make some heavy, melodic stuff that is free of those weird metalcore’ish escapades!!!), and I also understand the appeal of this new band, - many love it, nothing wrong with it!! - just not for me anymore. I will listen to the Angela era.
