    Great vid...!!! All tho I would like to add that I believe u should quickly mention on start of ur vid to what results are you looking to achieve or like to speak of follow by your personal experience with this product...This particular product from Hanz De Fuko is very versatile for all kinds of styles yet finish just might not be for everyone....

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would probably benefit from something lightweight that has swelling properties to plump the hair and add volume. Pre Game from TheSalonGuy, Morris Motley TSB, or Fuertes clay I think would work well for you.

    is there a link for where to get the Quicksand??

  • @whippybox9271
    @whippybox9271 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can I use this if I got the keratin treatment for my curly hair (sodium chloride free and such)? And I shouldn't shampoo every day even though I workout every day right? Can I condition every day? or just water? or just nothing?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Whippybox_grHD! I don't see why not, but it you're concerned, I would suggest you ask your stylist to be sure. As far as shampooing and such, right - it's best not to shampoo every day. You can rinse with water though, and extra conditioner wouldn't hurt. It might make your hair a bit heavy though depending on how much you're using and how much product is left in your hair, so just be mindful of that.
      The Quicksand is good for days that you're not washing your hair at all, since it has the dry shampoo component that soaks up excess oil.

    hey man, i def had the same issue as you so thanks for the video, will try it out tomorrow! production quality is top too mate, you've earnt a subscriber. question about the product - how does it feel if you run your fingers through your hair when applied properly? not too gritty, dry and like it's gonna tear?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Shanik D Happy to help! I'm glad you liked the video :) And right, when applied properly, it doesn't tug and rip at your hair. It definitely still feels a bit dry and gritty, but not in a bad way. I hope that makes sense!

    awesome video! what based is on this product? is it waterbased?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It's actually more of an oil-based product with the first two ingredients being Diatomaceous Earth and Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil. There is some water in there too, but it's the second-to-last ingredient.

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Ivan Gutierrez Aw man :( Yeah the diatomaceous earth dries my hair out like whoa. I'd suggest trying a "repair" shampoo and conditioner (they add lots of moisture), and a few drops of argan oil into wet hair after a wash or rinse.

    Hi Matt @TDMStyle. I wanted your advice on sth. I've been using Hanz de Fuko's Claymation. Can you recommend another product that you feel is a bit better or more quality? I'd like to see what else is out there. Thx.

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my opinion there are many clays that perform better than Claymation - my absolute favorite right now is CLUTCH Clay by TheSalonGuy. Incredible stuff. Very high hold, very matte finish, stays pliable and lasts all day, and it's super lightweight.

    • @Defiantt13

    Dude please how do you have your hair so shiny and healthy looking? I have the same hair type as you and I bleached my hair before but now it’s all dry, frizzy, and damaged looking even after I’ve used hair masks. Any help please? :(

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you bleach at home, or did you go to a salon? From your description it sounds like maybe you overdid it with the bleach and it fried your hair a bit. If that's the case the best thing I can recommend is going to see a professional and see if they can do anything to help. They might do an olaplex treatment or something but I'm really not sure. For me, I only do lightening/dying/etc at the salon - never at home. And to keep my hair looking and feeling healthy, best things I can suggest are a good quality shampoo and conditioner (like Moroccanoil Repair or Clean & Condition by TheSalonGuy), and I always use 25 Spray by TheSalonGuy as a prestyler which helps keep my hair looking shiny and feeling super soft. I hope this helps!

    Do u have to use your fingertips or can u do it on ur palms

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on your hair type. For me if I tried to use it on my palms like a normal product, it would just rip hair out and be a tangled mess. Quite honestly I'd recommend trying a different product altogether lol. The Clay Pomade by ORIEN'T is very similar to Quicksand but in my opinion works better and applies much more easily.

    how does this compare to claymation?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jonathan Hong Similar hold, but otherwise totally different. This has a super dry matte finish where Claymation has semi-matte. Also Claymation doesn't have the dry shampoo component so it goes in more smoothly and does not soak up excess oil in your hair.

    • @TDMStyle

      +Metodej Cerny Quicksand is definitely drying. In my opinion it is really only good to use on second or third day hair - for a regular styling product, I'd recommend a clay. My favorite is Baxter of California's Clay Pomade :)
