There is actually a way to "romance" her in ME2. If you have the Shadow Broker DLC and had romanced her in ME1 you can have a very brief intimate scene and continue the relationship. But if you don't have the DLC, then she does flat out reject you.
She is saying that she's too busy to join you, and you never discuss matter of your relationship with her unless you play Shadow broker dlc, so Yes it is kinda cheating, with Kaiden or Ashley it defenitly feels like breakup when you met them on horizon but with Liara it's diffrent

It’s both hilarious and kind of cute that Liara mostly just teases and trolls Tali by showing that she knows or can easily get to know anything, including the most personal info possible, but also doesn’t bring up anything that can really be humiliating or harmful for Shep-Tali relationships. She’s obviously jealous, but they are still both her close friends and I’m sure Blueberry despite her jealousy is glad that they are happy together. Really heartwarming, in fact.
I always took this scene as Liara just checking Tali for knowing her "secret" position as Shadow Broker. It's a power move but since you can only get it if you romance the both of em, you're probably right that jealousy is involved too.
Wouldn't it be interesting though if they made group dynamics a factor if your mission and maybe overall game would succeed or not? Terribly difficult to keep track of and probably impossible to program for correctly but that would be a neat addition.
@@jtak27 Can you elaborate? They kinda did this with the suicide mission in part 2 but I think you mean something else right?
Just if they were to program heightened emotions and non rational thinking into it. For example if you select certain members on a mission and made certain choices in the past, the outcome could be wildly different. If you cheated on Liara with Tali and you decided not to help her become Shadow Broker and then took Liara and Tali on the Geth Dreadnought mission, at some point Liara would kill you both and blame it on the Geth. Mission fail. I guess this would be along the lines of programming real consequences to your choices into the game. Super tough to accurately program I think but I personally would find it fascinating.

"Trash-talking". I find it unlikely Legion actually called other players names, he most likely was his objective self, like "Your organic appendages may not be optimal for this game." Shit like that.
In a few decades, maybe even years we may not be able to talk with other players at all in online games, imagine the censorship nearly 200 years into the future.
See Liara, if you spent more time tracking Cerberus activity across the galaxy and less time tracking what sex positions Tali was learning. Things would have played out much better.
Tali tried to be coy about Liara being Shadow Broker and Liara clapped back with a classic "F*** Around and Find Out.' 😂
One of the worst things in the series (in my opinion, please Neptune protect me) is that you had such limited romance options in ME1, then they stop you from being able to continue that romance(excluding shadow broker dlc but you still can't get with your human bae), and then they introduce like a bunch of awesome characters to romance and it's like ok I guess we cheating then

Tbf least with ash and laira made sense ash is complicated and in m1 stated would not asociate with tera firma and anyone kore exstreme than the, so cerberus is a massive no go With her complicated beleif on aliens she doesnt want to asociate with anyone more exstreme than her as it will only validate peoples opinions of her

I knew this already, because years before the Legendary Edition, my Shepard romanced Liara first in ME1, then went to Tali in ME2 and remained faithful to her in ME3, but I'm glad someone is bringing this info to light. Goes to show that even the selfless quarian girl has erotic fantasies.

Y'all should look up compilations of Tali's conversations in this scene depending on squadmate and romance. Most of the relationship/former relationship dialogue before the dreadnought is really interesting. It's one of the only times Shepherd's lovers actually interact in a way that acknowledges their feelings for Shep.
If I remember correctly, all of them are somewhat catty except for Ash and Tali.

Speaking of browsing history, I walked up to Joker during one of the many talks, and it appears he shuts down whatever he was looking at before Cmdr Shepard walks in - first time I've noticed that, hilarious!

I swear Mass Effect 3 is such an amazing game. The characters are almost real in how BioWare planned for SO many possible interaction scenarios depending on the players choices.

Probably, she doesn't have any reasons to hide as she is essentially a galactic hero, plus as far as we know she didn't meddle with any gangs or did anything that could put her in prison.
i accidently ran into this and absolutely busted a gut laughing! this series is easily my favorite RPG series of all time.
There's easter egg joke about this in ME3, on Citadel you can encounter background female Quarian and male human, she will complain to him about some guy. He's simping and much to his horror she mentions she doesn't need BF because she installed "nerve stimulator". For some reason I found this interaction funny, especially because you can actually miss it, as there's no cutscene, they are just having dialogue in background if you get close to them, so you can actually miss it or overlook it.
"Listen, Tali. I love you like a sister, and am happy for you and Shepard. But don't try picking this fight."
Liara pulls no punches, another reason why she's the ride or die dream girl
be loyal and she serves you the galaxy on a platter, cheat on her and the Reapers will be the last thing to worry about
She goes through hell to resurrect you and is the only one that never gives up on you after you die. I still prefer Tali but am always conflicted because of that.

I've just recently finished playing the ME trilogy and started looking for videos about this awesome game and found this. I'm amazed to see that people value Tali so much over the other romance options, I chose to romance Tali while I was still in ME1 ( even though it was not possible by the time) and for some mysterious power I couldn't/ didn' want to change to any of the other romance options, even though they were very very tempting.
I guess the voice actor for Tali is part of the reason, and there's also the fact that we don't get to see Tali's face till ME3 so I think the mystery around how she really looks like makes her more appealing than the others. Like, she already seems to be pretty under the mask, but not knowing how she really looks like just adds to her charm.
She has a great personality and even in the second game before you romance her she actually has a crush on Shepard. Kelly mentions how she seems like she wants to be more. Even Tali gets all embarrassed until you say you feel the same way

It's funny how I have over 10 full playthroughs of the trilogy, and yet, every time I play it again, there is something new to see / hear.
Always shows how much care went into the writing of 3, in general. I keep seeing new dialogue lines in various scenes, that I've never seen before. If only they had been given a bit more time and leeway by EA to properly do the ending....

I never romanced Tali in any of my ME playthroughs, yet I clearly remember this exact conversation. Are you sure Tali must be romanced for this to happen?
it happens to me too and I dont lock the romance with Tali but just flirt with her. I think as long as you flirt with her and don't lock yourself out of it (flat out reject her) or lock yourself in and complete the romance you can get this scene.

Yeah no this video is wrong, I unlocked this conversation with FemShep. So I think you just gotta have the Shadow Broker dlc completed and Tali's loyalty mission done.
But with that said I could see this conversation having a bigger impact on play throughs where you play as MaleShep and cheat on Liara with Tali.
You can get different dialogues depending on your relationship. I don’t know the specifics but I did this before legendary and never had any dlc so I don’t think you need shadow broker unless I’m miss remembering. Iv always romanced tali due to mostly her voice actor doing a good job.

True, nerve-stims is what Quarians generally use to simulate touch - However, it's the material itself that she's used in conjunction with it that makes it funny : D
Tali is by far the best Waifu followed by Miranda, cannot help but love her troubled past. And then Liara, Ashley, and Jack.
I wish Miranda had a bigger part to play in ME3. Same as Liara in ME2. There's no good option to have a steady romance in all three games but I feel Miranda got done dirty with her ME3 plot line, it's like "yeah Im still into you" "OK cool".
@@Davepars7 Well there was controversy over. When Miranda was finished. The Media did not like a perfect White girl. But yes it sucks, there is no perfect love interest between the three games. Could have been Tali, but she was not an option until ME2.

I mean... If you follow both the Liara and HeteroShep options in ME1, there's a point where Liara and the human option confront you about it and the human demands you pick one or the other, while Liara is open to poly.
Then they walked that back hard in ME2, apparently.

Favorite series of all time played it through multiple times (atleast 4) what else did i miss
Romanced liara ME1. wanted to continue in ME2. got the romance scene but she then got too busy being the shadow broker. Then I did the Tali quest lines and suddenly developed a keen interest in her and romanced her at the end of Me2.
Started ME3 and Liara is all up on my face " like yeah so I can do my shadow broker stuff on the Normandy now. Want to carry on where we left off." I'm like" naah, you had your chance in ME2. Man is with Tali now"
Almost felt like Liara would say "well where TF is she then" because she was no where to be seen for ages! I was asking the same questions as there is barely any mention of the Quarians for the first portion of the ga e

interresting enough I managed to get that dialog on my first run in the ME3 Original, even without trying. Why, because thouse were my Romances. I didn't even realize that it was such an rare ocasion.
Somebody used those lines in a sample on a dance track but I can't remember which one it was! I was sure it was Mass Effect as it sounded like it but I could never remember hearing it in game, until now.
I wouldn't call going from Liara in ME1 to another character in ME2 cheating. With the Shadow Broker DLC you can make it pretty clear to Liara that the relationship is over before you do anything with anyone else.
You can get this dialogue without cheating on Liara too. I romanced her in Part 1, didn't romance in Part two and ronanced LIara in Part 3 again. Tali romances Garrus if you don't do in Part 2, and than it has the same effect: Had this dialogue in two playthroughs^^

Mass Effect is one of the only Mainstream game that I wish had a Harem option cause I like all of the girl for different reasons. Yes even Ashley. People say she's Racist but actually she's more like Dom, She all about Family and the crew of the Normandy are that Family from Wreks to Tali. If your in good with Shepard your in good with her. She's good people once you get to know her.

Hmm thats weird i found that information in Shadow Broker liar without romance either one of them.
The dialogue may be unique to that situation, but the browser history is there even without romancing liara. Does require you to romance tali though.
