I rescued a American bully last year and it was the best thing I did. I wasn't sure what she was so I did a DNA test and she came back 100% American Bully. I didn't even know it was a actual breed until I got her. She's 3 years old and is a amazing loving dog.

Ours was a razors edge blood line and we miss him like a parent. He was amazing even to our disabled son who could be mean at times he seemed to understand he was different. People who don't understand these breeds and blame them for any and all dog bites should know what we had. Best dog ever.
We have a 16 week old pocket bully. We also have a 3yo daughter with PWS which effects her muscle tone along with some behavioral differences. I was concerned at first, but they are the best of friends. His bulk and size gives her someone to stabilize on as she sits or stands, the only problem is that they have a hard time sharing when it comes to dolls.

I think the micros or whatever you want to call them are cute, but I think the trade-off for the look is that they are less agile and they tend to be structurally limited. This is just my opinion.
You forgot the bull neck which gives the bully its name that is the most distinctive trait that separates a bully from a amstaff, english staff and pitbull
My neighbor was calling my bully dog a Mutt can’t tell if he’s an Am. Bully the owner said he was a pit so I just did a DNA test but he do got the features of a brindle coat but let’s see gotta wait 6 weeks for the DNA test to come in. My baby is 60+ lbs and he’s only 9 months.

I'm pretty sure you'll need a bigger house alright, and a king sized bed and another settee, as he'll want all the fuss and attention he can get! A neighbor had an XL bully boy but had to move him to a larger house, as these are tiny. Sadly, his brother had to be put down after that. But, HE survived, and somebody adopted his dad. THEN, my BFF had HIM, (his name was Brutus) for years after that, and then, last year Brutus died, and my bff would NOT talk about it, how he died. I THINK that she put him out when It was HOT and he spilled his water, OR it was just TOO damn hot, BUT, I don't know because when I ask, she just cries, so, I don't know. She STILL has Brutus's mom though. Brutus's mom looks more like she is an actual "Pitt Bull Terrier". Meaning she is lean but muscular,. so, NOT all MUSCLE BOUND like Brutus had been. He was really a "beefy Boy" but, sweet as can be. He had butt cheeks that a Kardashian would have been Jealous of, lol!!! So, he had been a pretty muscular pooch. Sorry, I have had a few drinks tonight, BUT, anyway, he had been a POSSIBLE "American Bully", since he had a mom that seems to be a "leaner but strong Pitt Mix", and a brother who had been AGGRESSIVE, a dad who had been calm but muscle bound. REALLY, I may not know exactly what is right about that type of a mix. BUT, Brutus was like a damn tank, but, he was sweet as southern tea. My bff would go on vacation, and I could come in her house with a key and give her dogs fresh water and food, and I would lay on her couch and he (Brutus) would lay on me and I'd pet him for at least 20 minutes before I would leave. NO great amount of exercise needed. She had been a pretty calm dog, so, not very much in need of excercise outside of her son pooch making her be active. Really, I am sure that every dog has it's own personality too.

@@anamatovic5719 If he is APBT he may be showing traits that are similar to and bred for in the Bully but that doesn’t mean he is a Bully. The only way to know for certain what he may be mixed with other than APBT is to do a dna test.

But, now in my older age I am looking more at Bully's because some lines are more laid back and that's what I am looking for these days. My days with high drive/high energy dogs is over. lol Love my beefcake girl I have now.
I just got a standard bully from a shelter too. Shes about 80lbs. She’s a relaxed and low energy girl. She’s barked only twice. I love my big meathead!

We have a half British half am staff that ticks all the boxes. No health issues, fit as,great with kids.. Just attempts alpha a bit much. Great dog though 10 years old... Never been to the vet.

My dog is a pitbull cross xl bully.. my dog is really submissive for no reason and lacks confidence but he's a really friendly dog and loves everyone and animals alike as he's been face to face with horses, cows and sheep and is friendly with them too.. He's just turned 12 month and is 36kg but he's very lean and shredded and strong af.. I'm sure he'll end up quite a bit bigger as his dad was 70 kg and was and an absolute unit.. his mum was a blue brindle pitbull.. He's defo got more pitbull in him though by appearance and his drive to always wanting to do something.. all my mates bully's are really lazy and easy going mine is bonkers and hyper.. I'm going to dna him soon just to see what genetics he has in him
With true pitbulls they have to turn on, so I would watch the dog closely until the age of 3 or 3 1/2 years old. They will be nice and submissive then one day it's like a switch has been flipped abd they hate other dogs
If money and time were on my side, I would take an American Bully and breed them with a Pure breed Pitbull; the result would lean but thick Pitbull (65-75lbs). It would perfect 👌😎
@@755hp It would take 4-5 generations at least to get stability in what you are breeding for. The first 2-3 with a mix like that will be scattershot and inconsistent with all different types, builds, temperaments and colors of pups in the same litter.
My dog has been called a bully, a pitbull, an amstaff. I am calling him a blue nose brindle American Pitbull terrier. But, he sure fits your description of a bully and looks like a few of those dogs. 66 lb. So probably a standard. I had a person that told me they used to judge dog shows and he was 100% Pitbull and she said a champion. Anyway I never met her before so I don't know if she knows what she's talking about. He walked into the house off the street so I have no way of knowing his lineage unless I get a dna, i guess. You be the judge. We have a lot of video on our channel.
Idk what my female is. She look’s pitbull or pitbull mix. Definitely no bully in her. I get different answers all the time. She’s 65lb. She’s tan and white. Perfect color pattern. Her hair is longer and coarser.
Is it real? They are a real cross to put it best. The head shape, jaw line and ear set are simply where you will see. They have a tendency to drool some. Their brow is often furrowed like Amstaff or Staffy bull terrier. Speaking of standard and classic... there is obvious mastiff blood in the 100lb+ canines. The more people keep changing things, the real real is you have a pretty cross breed... which is exactly what 1800 pitbulls were

What I don’t understand is why the UKC has mine listed as a pit bull. He’s a pocket American bully. On his UKC papers that goes back to like his great great grandparents, from way back all the way until his parents they are all registered as American bully’s. But for some reason mine is registered as a pit bull. You can look at him and tell he’s American bully. I’m not breeding him so it really doesn’t matter to me. I just find it odd. He’s the sweetest boy. A real love bug. Friendly to other dogs, cats and people. And he loves women lol. I take him to my vet to get groomed and he’s the first dog I’ve had that loves going to the vet. It’s like nothing but girls that work there so he’s a flirt. Any time I say, you ready to go see your girlfriends he runs to his harness and leash. And when we go into the vet office he goes in acting like he owns the place and goes straight behind the counter to go greet everyone. They love him there. Everyone knows him by name. When a new person sees him they’re kind of intimidated at first. But only for a few seconds cause he goes up to them wagging his tail and he’s got that natural smile. He always wins them over. Even the most skeptical of the pit bull and bully breeds. I love my boy. He’s blue and white.
The UKC used to not consider the American Bully breed and you can keep it as a Pitbull terrier so they don’t loose the purple ribbon is what I’ve been told
I cannot get my head around the ear cropping - I get that there were originally pragmatic reasons for some breeds to have ears and /or tails cropped, but nowadays it's purely aesthetic. I just don't understand how mutilated ears are seen as more aesthetically pleasing and why anyone would want to mutilate their puppy

I just don't get how 'why not complain about X' is in any way a useful response to someone making a complaint about something else. It's not like I came on here, complained about ear cropping and then said 'but tails and wieners are fine'.Why not complain about tail docking or circumcision ?- because neither of those are relevant to this specific video whereas ear cropping clearly is. It won’t take that long….embark? They only take 2-3 once u send it back and a week or less to get the swab to you….I test all my dogs
over 70 lbs is not in standard for a pit, ik u said 60+ but that can mean anything 😅

Mine is a pound puppy. She looks like a standard. 80lb female, looks like there is some American Bulldog in there. She is a blue and white piebald with a half mask. Sweet girl, kind of lazy and likes to talk back a lot. She is my first Bully. I have had Pit Bulls and AmStaffs since 1988, since I was a teenager. But, now in my older age I am looking more at Bully's because some lines are more laid back and that's what I am looking for these days. My days with high drive/high energy dogs is over. lol Love my beefcake girl I have now.
I just got a standard bully from a shelter too. Shes about 80lbs. She’s a relaxed and low energy girl. She’s barked only twice. I love my big meathead!
@@Gracie.Gardener I wish my girl would only bark once in a while, but she loves to go out back and bark just to hear herself. We live in the woods and have lots of wildlife and I assume that's partly why. She loves to stand on our back deck over the creek and hear her voice reminding all the raccoons (her mortal enemies) this is her kingdom. LOL

We have a half British half am staff that ticks all the boxes. No health issues, fit as,great with kids.. Just attempts alpha a bit much. Great dog though 10 years old... Never been to the vet.

My veterinarian's assistant told me that I have an American Bully so that's how I know I have one. And, I won't crop his ears. I don't understand why people crop their ears. 🤔
My dog is a pitbull cross xl bully.. my dog is really submissive for no reason and lacks confidence but he's a really friendly dog and loves everyone and animals alike as he's been face to face with horses, cows and sheep and is friendly with them too..
He's just turned 12 month and is 36kg but he's very lean and shredded and strong af..

With true pitbulls they have to turn on, so I would watch the dog closely until the age of 3 or 3
1/2 years old. They will be nice and submissive then one day it's like a switch has been flipped abd they hate other dogs

@@755hp It would take 4-5 generations at least to get stability in what you are breeding for. The first 2-3 with a mix like that will be scattershot and inconsistent with all different types, builds, temperaments and colors of pups in the same litter.

Idk what my female is. She look’s pitbull or pitbull mix. Definitely no bully in her. I get different answers all the time. She’s 65lb. She’s tan and white. Perfect color pattern. Her hair is longer and coarser.
Is it real? They are a real cross to put it best. The head shape, jaw line and ear set are simply where you will see. They have a tendency to drool some. Their brow is often furrowed like Amstaff or Staffy bull terrier. Speaking of standard and classic... there is obvious mastiff blood in the 100lb+ canines. The more people keep changing things, the real real is you have a pretty cross breed... which is exactly what 1800 pitbulls were

People suck. I live in a building and so far only one person complained that mg dog looks scary, everyone else loves her, although a few people turn away from us with their dogs m, and guess what? Their dogs are always the ones that lunge at mine. Even my brothers little dog went for my dogs throat, later he said he thought it would be the other way around, and my dog did nothing but stand there and be cute and calm

My 7 month old Bully is Brindle with a white spot on his neck and white chest and a white spot on his foot. He is the biggest baby loves being around anyone and anything. And he loves constantly being up my butt and has to be where I'm at
It's hard to find one some have a face too much like English bulldogs. I personally don't like that look with the short snout.

Im learned two bloodline have, 1 is the Scott bloodline what is more like Dogo Argentino, so athletic shape longer noose smaller chest and, 2 the Johnsons bloodline what is more like the dog from the Tom&Yerry Cartoon biger head, shorter noose big chest and not so tall. What I don’t understand is why the UKC has mine listed as a pit bull. He’s a pocket American bully. On his UKC papers that goes back to like his great great grandparents, from way back all the way until his parents they are all registered as American bully’s. But for some reason mine is registered as a pit bull. You can look at him and tell he’s American bully. I’m not breeding him so it really doesn’t matter to me. I just find it odd. He’s the sweetest boy. A real love bug. Friendly to other dogs, cats and people. And he loves women lol. I take him to my vet to get groomed and he’s the first dog I’ve had that loves going to the vet. It’s like nothing but girls that work there so he’s a flirt. Any time I say, you ready to go see your girlfriends he runs to his harness and leash. And when we go into the vet office he goes in acting like he owns the place and goes straight behind the counter to go greet everyone. They love him there. Everyone knows him by name. When a new person sees him they’re kind of intimidated at first. But only for a few seconds cause he goes up to them wagging his tail and he’s got that natural smile. He always wins them over. Even the most skeptical of the pit bull and bully breeds. I love my boy. He’s blue and white.

The UKC used to not consider the American Bully breed and you can keep it as a Pitbull terrier so they don’t loose the purple ribbon is what I’ve been told

I cannot get my head around the ear cropping - I get that there were originally pragmatic reasons for some breeds to have ears and /or tails cropped, but nowadays it's purely aesthetic. I just don't understand how mutilated ears are seen as more aesthetically pleasing and why anyone would want to mutilate their puppy

@@blackmask494 It's a video showing dogs with cropped ears - and that's a real shame. If I saw a video with a doberman with a docked tail I'd likely comment on that too.
I just don't get how 'why not complain about X' is in any way a useful response to someone making a complaint about something else. It's not like I came on here, complained about ear cropping and then said 'but tails and wieners are fine'.Why not complain about tail docking or circumcision ?- because neither of those are relevant to this specific video whereas ear cropping clearly is.
