@FitBullyTv I would like add to the Catahoula also has Beauceron in it, as do Dobermanns and Rottweilers, which is really where the merle/harlequin genes come from. Beaucerons are an ancient breed that were a favorite of French kings all the way back to Charlemagne and debatably the Merovingian Frankish Kings before Charlemagne's line. Little history facts to add! 😁
This was awesome 👍🏼 We have an XL male who’s now 6 months, 80 pounds, he is such a good boy, but I’ve made sure to socialize him and train him every single day. He has zero aggression towards food or people in general. He’s been an amazing addition to our family ❤

They have one of the most beautiful structures from the grong up. They are heavy but as athletic as thinner dogs.

The classic bully is the true "American" Bully Breed. The others are compilation dogs exotic mixes of different types of Bully breeds! The original American bully is a "Terrier"

American pit bull terrier became an established breed in 1898 when Chauncey Bennett founded the UKC and registered his dog Bennett's Ring under the breed title American pit bull terrier.
In 1936, the AKC selected 50-something UKC registered American pit bull terriers, and those 50 or so dogs were given a new breed title and registered with the AKC under the title Staffordshire Terrier.
It wasn't until 1972 that the breed title became American Staffordshire Terrier.

My Pitbull, 10 months old was hit by a car a couple of weeks ago and is now fully healed but is afraid to go near any street traffic. I walk her a little then make her sit when the urge to go back home overcomes her and I try to reassure her that I'm here with her and that I won't let anything hurt her. She responds but is still shaking uncontrollably. I'm hoping that if I continue to make her sit in between walks and reassure her that she will eventually overcome her fear. I'll take any good advice. Thanks.

Alapaha has merle the term used to be mottled now it's being called merle.
The Alapaha got its merle gene from the Catahoula leopard cur.

Very informative video thank you. Over here in the UK 🇬🇧 they are calling for a ban on the XL Bully breed because there has been a increase in attacks and fatalities by this breed. A little 17months old girl suffered horrific head trauma when the family dog turned on her. They had only had the dog for a week. Another child a 10 year old boy had his face ripped off by the breed, it then stood over his lifeless body and wouldn't let the police near the boy, police had to shoot 7 shots to kill the dog. People keep saying its the owners fault not the breed, but I think it's both, and more so now that you have shown me what breeds go to make up the XL Bully breed.
Pitbull isn’t a breed. It is a universal term used to explain “bully breeds”. It encompasses all the breeds you mentioned as well as others including American Bully, English and American staffs which have different traits, specifically size. They are cross bred among a lot of other breeds to bring out trates such as size, aggression, mentor and mentality. They encompass the most amazing breed ever developed. I am a proprietor of bully breeds including being a foster for the bully breeds and owning 2 rescues. They are AMAZING as a family dog, especially with those who have children. Great video but research is essential. Their 1st instinct is to protect their family while trying to be the biggest, loving, lap dog anyone could even want. True loyalty and kids are their favorite people to be around. Absolutely love the snoring dog in the background, that’s a true bully . Brindle or solid they are available in any combination anyone could ever want.

The consistency, as far as temperament, is there in all classes except the XL. The XL can be iffy even if you go to a reputable breeder that focuses on temperament in their program.

I admire the Bully breed, for me there's no consistency. It is too many morphs. I like the types like Baloo. I have not seen that much of function, working, and athletic use from the breed. I believe the bully breed would only be suitable as strictly a companion dog. Handsome breed

Catahoula bulldog? Never heard of them. The only Catahoula I know of are the hunting hounds, like I had.
The Catahoula bulldog is a cross between the leopard dog and and American bulldog .
Lmao 😂 man said the truth tho. Shit was funny as hell the way he put it. But the way I see it is you can have two breeders with the same breed and even start with the same blood lines. And end up with different traits. Just depends how the "animal" is being breed. And the American bully started as a mixed breed, to try to create a larger, less aggressive version of the apbt.

Shorty Bulldog breed is mixed into the Small versions of the American Bully. That's why the the small version many times looks like the Shorty Bull.... Except that the Shorty Bull has a lot longer lifespan and is bred to be healthy and athletic.
The small american bully can barely walk and breath... really sad to see.
