I wouldn’t have a tractor without a cab. I live in Montana and I move snow for a living so I have to go when it snows No matter how cold or windy. I’ve been in that cab at -20 and not been cold. It’s a game changer
💥 Great video Don! Glad you’re enjoying your cab. It’s sure is nice to be protected from the elements and keeping warm while moving snow. *Keep on tractoring!*
It looks like Curtis has done a very good job with their fit and finish part of the engineering. It looks factory and not like some “universal “ adaptation that usually means that it doesn’t fit anything well. Well done . Thanks Don
There are many times that I sure wish that I had a cab on my L2501. Where my tractor needs to go, a cab will not work. However, when I am bush hogging my 100 acres of pasture in the heat of the summer, a cab with a.c. sure does cross my mind.
@@DonBeforeDawn , I do what I call “ shake and bake” out in the open and in the hot sun. I need to get in around trees and under limbs and a cab just won’t work. The same goes for dragging up tops and such for firewood. The little Kubota needs to thread it’s way into and out of very tight quarters. I guess this is just the way it is going to have to be. I do really like your cab and I thought that you did a great presentation on it.
I luv that cab until I asked my dealer how much it was 😮! Lol 😂. Invest in a LandPride snowpusher. It removes the snow more effectively than a bucket . I luv mine 👍.
I have the same cab for my BX. I love it! I noticed you had a fan? Does that help with the fogging up in the winter? Where did you get it? thanks, great video!
The fan is a $6 purchase from Walmart. It is powered via USB connection near the cup holder. Typically used in warmer weather. I show more detail in another video. (link below) th-cam.com/video/kyLwkRn0Tyo/w-d-xo.html
Nice Don! Sure wish i could afford one for my BX23s. Buying the tractor was hard enough as it was. Adding another $5,000+ to the deal just wasn`t gonna happen when you try to live on disability funds.
I am very fortunate with the backhoe department. My neighbor is an equipment operator and only charges me $50 /he for both him and the backhoe. I sure can’t buy, store, maintain, insure, and operate my own for that little of an investment. If I had one on my L2501, would I use it? Absolutely! It would be handy to have one for sure. Not likely to ever happen with my neighbor being that handy to have close by. Curtis needs to approach you about using this video to promote their awesome product 🤔
Having a neighbor with a backhoe is a money saver for sure. One of the first jobs I did with my tractor is dig up a large rock for a neighbor. I work for coffee though. :)
@@DonBeforeDawn I have an open station, it's really not that bad, like don't get me wrong it is a little loud, but not so much that you need hearing protection. If I had to compare it it's about as loud as a garden tractor from lowes, just a different pitch. Not sure if it's the same for you in the cab. If you stand outside the cab while it's running you can get a feel for what it's like.

Great information, thanks for sharing this!
Like the music! Reminds me of the music from”The Rockford Files” that always played in the background!👍

I love mine. I think If I were mowing though I would want A/C.

Snowpusher is on the wish list, but the wife says "not this year"
Good review. I am looking for a similar set up as to what you just reviewed. Your feedback and video is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Got a BX23S with no cab. I agree on backhoe. People said you'll never use it. False. The backhoe is my most used attachment.
Hi Don,
I see you added a fan in the cab. Do you use it primarily in the summer? Where did you purchase it?

It took me a year to convince my wife I "needed" it. :)

Put a blower fan on it like a dozer might fix the leaves and snow?
Nice Firebird
Is it really that much louder in the cab that you need to wear ear protection? Or is it about the same as if the cab wasn't on?
This is my first BX and so I have not experienced one without the cab, but I would wear hearing protection either way.

Did you know that the cab has an air conditioner option also
Yes,
A/C is available but it's pricey. I am glad I did not spend the extra $$ since I am not out in open areas much. Plus the doors come off. :)
Thats more of a lawn mower instead of a tractor waste of money
