When you mentioned that Mitsuki has to be the magatama, for some reason it clicked to me that the jewel's shape ressembles Orochimaru's earrings in the manga (not so much the anime) and while its just a pair of earrings I still think its quite interesting that Orochimaru's earrings look identical to the shape of the magatama, especially since Mitsuki is a clone of Orochimaru. I guess its a bit of a strech but its a connection between the magatama and Orochimaru (and through Orochimaru its also a connection between the magatama and Mitstuki!)

Yes, that reason 2 why I think it's unlikely. Reason 1 being it doesn't fit her fighting style. It is possible seeing Sasuke had Itachi's eye and they were connected to his eyes. So there is a chance that she could've inherited them.
Agreed with Dom however I will say there is still TONS of mystery around how the yata mirror functions with the whole "spiritual attacks" thing and whether or not it's spiritual portion is just active no matter what since why would you need it summoned physically to prevent spiritual attacks. The main flaw I see with the Yata Mirror passive theory is Itachi vs Kurenai and Sasuke vs Itachi. In both fights, Itachi is affected by Genjutsu, even if he does overpower them. If the Yata Mirror passively gave resistance or immunity to Genjutsu, Sasuke and Kurenai's Genjutsu is stronger than Omnipotence.
@edwardsmith-gx9gp spiritual attacks are like Reaper Death Seal, Soma(Boruto), Mind Transfer, Spirit Transformation (Dan, Tsunade's Boyfriend), Limbo Clones, Possession types, and things like that. Not Genjutsu because that's using your Chakra to manipulate the opponent's Chakra to manipulate what they see, hear, smell, feel, and tastes.
Maybe Hidari will turn himself into a chakra fruit and Sarada will eat it. Also her MS abilities have to be extremely broken if we're being kept in the dark about how strong she's gotten.
I actually hope they aren't too OP. When abilities are too OP in Naruto they end up giving everyone some kind of immunity to them. How many people have Ameterasu actually killed? If its something decent and useful then it will get used a bunch. For instance the swap places ability Sasuke had got used way more often and in creative ways.

honestly, it would be great if boruto channels wind release chakra through it, because in the story how kusanagi got its name, someone tried to kill prince yamato takeru by setting the field he was in ablaze. he used the sword to cut the grass surrounding him to prevent the fire from coming any closer, only to discover the sword can control the winds. so he used the sword to fan the flames towards his would be assassins. hence the name kusanagi, which means grass cutter edit: funny thing is, it seems boruto has an affinity for both lightning & wind release, considering he can inject both into his rasengan, changing its properties. and knowing purple lightning & flying raijin(i know it's a spacetime ninjutsu but it's named after raijin). not to mention kusanagi is the sword susanoo no mikoto found in yamata no orochi which is then given to amaterasu, which ends up becoming the imperial regalia. guess he just has a connection to raijin the thunder god, fujin the wind god and susanoo the storm god of shinto

I'm wondering if Sarada is going to intervene when Mitsuki and Boruto fight in the next chapter. It would be an interesting twist to see her stop the fight, infusing Mitsuki with doubt, and becoming a rogue ninja alongside Boruto. The sheer number of storylines that could come about as a result of that is mind boggling.

I like to think that with the susano, Sarada would train with Sakura or tsunade for the hundred healing jutsu. or work harder on her Chakra control to be able to hit like them. While I don’t think she’d pick up medical jutsu, she has been shown to be impressed my Sakuras strength when she trained with Sakura. with sasuke gone with boruto I think she would go to Sakura to learn about her dual MS, since sarada had read everything in the library about the sharigan she would go to Sakura. I swear Kisimoto better not drop the ball with Sarada. It’s not looking good so far. I know we’re only 6 chapters in but still. She had to get saved by Boruto and a fodder ninja. The most notable thing she did was hug Boruto and blush about it. And she didn’t try to break up the fight with Mitsuki and Boruto even though she’s had an MS for 3 years which is longer than even Sasuke had an MS in shippuden. I definitely like this theory but as you’ve said the imperial regalia are passed from emperor to emperor. This made me want to combine this theory with yours for Sarada. Maybe somewhere down the line, Team 7 is reunited and are metaphorically revealed to be the regalia. However, they are about to fall in battle against a strong enemy. Then with a burning desire to win and protect everyone, Sarada activates her susanoo, metaphorically taking up Boruto and Mitsuki’s will. Surprisjgly, this is revealed physically as Sarada’s susanoo for the first time wields the entire imperial regalia, deeming her fit to become the new Hokage upon winning the battle.
First I want to say that the connection you made between Team 7 and the imperial regalia of Japan was so deep and profound to me. That being said, it got me to thinkkng. Is it possible that Boruto has always been the true child of destiny? When I look at it through the lens of the Japanese core values I can't help but to think that.

The father explained to him that 7 of their 8 daughters had been eaten by a monster and that he was worried it was coming back for his last daughter. Susanoo investigated the creature and after an encounter in which he aborted, he returned with a plan to kill it. If you dissect that you can see how Kishimoto kinda took parts of that story and weaved it in his own way. Sasuke could be interpreted as the father who confided in Boruto that he needed to protect Sarada because he feared for the safety of his only daughter. Boruto can be depicted as Susanoo when he encounters the shinju and narrowly escapes and returns to Konoha to formulate a plan to take them down and protect Sarada. I think you’re spot on with your analysis. Side note, Susanoo marry’s that man’s only daughter Kushinada-hime - the goddess of Love. Bang!

I'm wondering if Sarada is going to intervene when Mitsuki and Boruto fight in the next chapter. It would be an interesting twist to see her stop the fight, infusing Mitsuki with doubt, and becoming a rogue ninja alongside Boruto. The sheer number of storylines that could come about as a result of that is mind boggling.

I like to think that with the susano, Sarada would train with Sakura or tsunade for the hundred healing jutsu. or work harder on her Chakra control to be able to hit like them. While I don’t think she’d pick up medical jutsu, she has been shown to be impressed my Sakuras strength when she trained with Sakura. with sasuke gone with boruto I think she would go to Sakura to learn about her dual MS, since sarada had read everything in the library about the sharigan she would go to Sakura. Just a thought I’d like to see kishimoto do.
sarada being immune to the omnipotence makes sense considering everything you said plus it Sakura the lady who's literally immune to mental attacks handed that trait to Sarada.

I swear Kisimoto better not drop the ball with Sarada. It’s not looking good so far. I know we’re only 6 chapters in but still. She had to get saved by Boruto and a fodder ninja. The most notable thing she did was hug Boruto and blush about it. And she didn’t try to break up the fight with Mitsuki and Boruto even though she’s had an MS for 3 years which is longer than even Sasuke had an MS in shippuden. She should at least be able to do something. Same with Sumire. But nope, Kishimoto just has the girls sit aside while the boys fight.

I definitely like this theory but as you’ve said the imperial regalia are passed from emperor to emperor. This made me want to combine this theory with yours for Sarada. Maybe somewhere down the line, Team 7 is reunited and are metaphorically revealed to be the regalia. However, they are about to fall in battle against a strong enemy. Then with a burning desire to win and protect everyone, Sarada activates her susanoo, metaphorically taking up Boruto and Mitsuki’s will. Surprisjgly, this is revealed physically as Sarada’s susanoo for the first time wields the entire imperial regalia, deeming her fit to become the new Hokage upon winning the battle.

First I want to say that the connection you made between Team 7 and the imperial regalia of Japan was so deep and profound to me. That being said, it got me to thinkkng. Is it possible that Boruto has always been the true child of destiny? When I look at it through the lens of the Japanese core values I can't help but to think that.

Finally some good shit. Well done. I’ll also add that according to Kojiki texts, Susanoo encountered a grieving family. The father explained to him that 7 of their 8 daughters had been eaten by a monster and that he was worried it was coming back for his last daughter. Susanoo investigated the creature and after an encounter in which he aborted, he returned with a plan to kill it. If you dissect that you can see how Kishimoto kinda took parts of that story and weaved it in his own way. Sasuke could be interpreted as the father who confided in Boruto that he needed to protect Sarada because he feared for the safety of his only daughter. Boruto can be depicted as Susanoo when he encounters the shinju and narrowly escapes and returns to Konoha to formulate a plan to take them down and protect Sarada. I think you’re spot on with your analysis. Side note, Susanoo marry’s that man’s only daughter Kushinada-hime - the goddess of Love. Bang!
