It is said, "The only thing that works on an old boat is the owner." Believe it or not, I love these little projects. And, I love it when I see others doing the same... Well done.
Always enjoy your work, Andy. Just bought small boat that was someone else's incomplete project, so the upgrades you do are very helpful (electronics, wenches, anchor system to mention a few things needed). Minney's Yacht Surplus is going to be a stop at some point so I don't have to buy retail. Your videos are perfect for the DIY guys out there.
Right on Ken. I’m glad you find value in the content. It makes it all worthwhile when I hear stuff like this and co grata on the new project! Fair winds!
Right on man. I’m just trying to keep the channel going. I have all these little projects that I filmed in the past that I’m putting up. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
Great stuff, Andy. Glad to see you rock in’ the checkerboard Spicoli’s. “Off the wall is a state of mind …” and so is sailing. Hey Ryobi, sponsor this channel already!
hahaha i just blinded the hell out of myself with an LED light earlier today while working on my SUV. this light has just 1 push button but 2 different lights. you press the button and a flashlight style light on the bottom of it turns on, then press off, then the next time you press the button it turns on a flood light on the side of it. i was under my SUV and thought it was gonna turn on the flashlight, but i got hit in the face by the floodlight. so i feel your pain lol
Yeah that was a bad decision on their behalf and would’ve been so easy for them to do in the first place. I bet the newer ones have storage there. Cheers bro! 👊🏼
I dig your vibe bro. Skate, Triteia, NBJS, and the LBC! haha! I grew up in SB & LB. I saw that you are deeply connected to Rival Sons. I went to High School w/ Mike (drummer). I think, if you watch enough YT, you'll find a 6 degree connection w/ some creators. Anyway, rad videos - its almost like you do video production professionally. 😉
Right on man! What’s your name? Yeah I know the Rival Sons very very well. I directed the DO YOUR WORST music video (th-cam.com/video/Vx60Fsu-w9M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Q5rDLYgS8QBx6vr9) I was just too dumb to put my name at the end. lol. Pretty much family to us. Miley is a stand up dude and one hell of a drummer. I used to do video production professionally and I’ll still do something here and there. Thanks for watching. Keep in touch! Cheers 🤙🏼
We have a 1980 Catalina 30, and she has 4 of those access spots behind the seat backs that look like they were factory made. Lotsa good storage for stuff you don’t need everyday. Love the channel and all the boat projects - only six weeks til we splash again! Best - Pete
How are you managing to do boat projects without a multi tool Best thing for boat work ever!!! Plus a fine metal cutting jigsaw blade is a cleaner cut . My catealina 22 bit smaller but used same area for akk swithing and radio ,sockets etc.
I use a multi tool from time to time. I used some fine metal jigsaw blades in the past and it got dull real fast cutting through fiberglass. The blades I used are way better but definitely a rougher edge. Not a problem in that project because I put a liner on the edge. Cheers!
Another Great video.... let me know if you ever want to buddy boat over to the island. I have not done a solo yet, but trying to find the time to make it happen........
Keep some N95 masks around, they will work. I'm surprised Catalina didn't utilize the space in the liner to begin with, wasted space. Good Job on the projects, makes life easier.
Yeah, I’m kind of dummy for not having that onboard to begin with. I’ve got a respirator on there now but N95’s are a good idea. Yeah that was a complete waste of space. I’m stoked to have that space now. Cheers! 👍🏼
I haven’t changed my sinks. They are original and came with the boat. I’m pretty sure they are the original sinks. CatalinaDirect.com might have them and when compared to other places has fair prices. Good luck!
It took me a minute to remember the content of that video (cutting out the fiberglass) so when I read your comment I was like, huh? 😂 Hope the finger is back to 100%. Cheers!
@@sailingsole I am in pain, finger looks funny, but trauma surgeon in Mexico 🇲🇽 was in a good mood and also teaching another surgeon how to put together a broken finger back together

Thanks Kyle. These are silly little projects but I love doing them. Cheers!

Man your simple vids give me good vibes and fire me up for the upcoming season as captain in the meds. Cheers bud have a good one!

Hahaha no sponsors here but I’m game for free tools. 🤣
Cheers bro! 👊🏼
Nice JOB!!
Thanks 🤙🏼

Yeah those buttons will get ya if you’re not careful. I blinded myself 😂
Well on your way to having the nicest Catalina in SoCal. Nice job. Surprised Catalina left all of that storage space closed off!
Yeah that was a bad decision on their behalf and would’ve been so easy for them to do in the first place. I bet the newer ones have storage there. Cheers bro! 👊🏼
@@sailingsole Yeah - the just put the liner in and didn't add the storage to keep costs down
Andy, another fun boat project video. You never disappoint with these videos.
Thanks Rick. Just trying to keep things rolling!!!! 😜
Hello again!
Well hello there 😂🤙🏼

Sweeeeeeeet!! Surprised it didn't already have those access holes from factory.
Yeah me too. It was a complete waste of space until now. It’s useful, I’m Stoked! 😜

Hey what’s up! This summer for sure. Once you do it you’ll ask yourself why you waited. It’s easy, you’ll see. 🤙🏼

More storage is always a double edge sword for me. Maybe I’d do better just not keeping so much crap on my sailboat, lol.
Well said! I do have way too much stuff onboard 😂
Where did you get that sink my wife wants one for our 30
