I love you guys and I'm really grateful for your videos as I look for a host family, but you should maybe try to lower the volume of the background music when you speak ^^'
@@aupairohparis6083 Edwina tends to speak a little louder than Hanna, so it's not as obvious when she's the one speaking, but for non-native English speakers and people who like to keep the volume low it would be helpful! You're very welcome! ^^
I'm a bit late so this probably won't be seen but I'm thinking of becoming an au pair, but I've got anxiety and social anxiety and I've never left my country before so I'm really terrified and kinda thinking of not doing it, is it worth it?
I'm becoming an Au Pair by the end of the month. I also have social anxiety and the whole process or picking a family and interviews has been incredibly exhausting. However once you pick the right family for you, and you start to talk to them more, have more interviews. It gets easier. I am also going to another country (It's close to my country but still) So that's a scary thing. I think if you do your research, have plenty of interviews and talk to the family you will be going to about any worries or concerns you have it might make it easier. Making friends might be hard but there usually is a community of Au Pairs you can find.
I wish I knew that culture shock can be a real thing!... hahaha. And also; that not everybody’s going to be your friend and that’s ok.
I love that you said except yourself ,respect yourself and love yourself
Good insights on do what you want and don't worry about what others think! Probably great advice for most humans, and especially young adults
