Hi I'm Eden, I'm an English Content Creator living in Paris, France. You might know me from TikTok as @frenchgirlvibes. I've been creating content since I moved to Paris on a whim after a breakup, back in 2020. Since then, I've learned some french, eaten a LOT of croissants and met the girl of my dreams. I've also been lucky enough to create a little platform for myself posting all about my adventures.
I love creating and sharing snippets of my life - so I thought why not start posting on TH-cam!
I plan on posting Vlogs as well as style/makeup related videos. Feel free to comment and let me know what other videos you'd like to see from me!

Hi Eden! Thank you for your advice about au pair program, it is very useful. And btw, I’m a new one on your channel so I’m looking forward to watch other videos, judging by the covers it looks super aesthetic 🤍✨
Hi! Thank you so much for watching, welcome:)
Thank you Eden for a super informative video ❤️👏
I am currently a year 12 student in Australia and i really want to au pair in France!
Same as me !! I’m excited but also worried if I can even secure a job there or not😭good luck to u!
Thanks sooo much, very very helpful! 😊
Hi! Ty for this video it was very informative! I was wondering how long it took you to hear back from a host family after reaching out and if you are still an au pair at the moment or if you have finished up your year. If you have finished up your year how did you enjoy it? What do you think is important to know before going into the process? And is your host family looking for a new AP😅? Have a great day!
Hi! Can you talk about the French language requirements? I plan on au pairing in Paris, but I’m not sure if my French is good enough.
@@erinm765 you don’t need to be a pro at French for this! The whole point in Au Pairing is it’s a cultural exchange so you will have the opportunity to learn French while helping the family learn English at the same time :)
Hello Eden, it’s Lola
The requirements read that either a basic knowledge of french or secondary level of education. I'm unsure what the secondary level of education definition is within this subject. And is basic knowledge something where you need a certificate or generally just basic words? My intention is to take language classes once there.
@@bethsmith3892 I believe they expect A1 level French or a desire to learn! I didn’t have to comply with any language requirements when I applied since the U.K. was still in the EU at that time.
I am a grade 12 (final year) student in South Africa and I really want to au pair in France next year! Any tips/advice
Would it be okay to mention to the family that you’re not really interested in living with the family? That’d you would prefer separate housing?
@@marysvideodiary8162 I’d look for families that only have separate accommodation for you if that’s the case (most families in Paris will have this)
Great video! I have a question, “pocket money” is in cash? If not, do they help to make a bank account or you need to do that on your own?
it can be in cash and if you prefer bank transfer its super easy to set up an account with Revolut or N26. I was paid into my N26 for years with no problems :)
Hi Eden! Do you have anymore "red flags" to look for when viewing a host family's profile/interviewing? I plan to be an au pair starting aug/sept 2025 and am trying to get as much info as i can before messaging families. Thank you!
@@Elizabeth-vc5tz red flags for me personally is if they are asking you to clean the home. Any cleaning that is not simply picking up after the kids, loading/unloading the dishwasher & cleaning up after cooking should not be expected of you! Also if they want you to work 6 days a week. Realistically, while it’s legal you should be working 5 days, no more than 25 hours a week x
Hey Eden ! Is it too late to look for a family in December? I was wondering how long does the aupair process took for you to move to paris?
If you still want to au pair around may is a really good time to start looking there will be a lot of families on aupairworld during that time looking for au pairs for the 2023-2024 school year
@@brooklynsky7285Thank you my contract in UAE will be done in may come 2024 hopefully I'll land a family in Paris
Hi Eden, can i ask u , how about au pair who need visa ?
Hey! Can i ask which au pair agency you used?
Hi! I didn't use an agency, just the site mentioned in the video - aupairworld
