LYONS WOODLANDS HALL CARAVAN PARK, RUTHIN, WALES, UK: INSIDE LOOK & TOUR OF PARK & 6-BERTH CARAVAN

On a recent trip to Wales I stayed in my first ever Caravan Park. It was Lyons Woodlands Hall Caravan Park in Ruthin, North Wales. There are LOTS of caravan parks in Wales, but what the Welsh call a 'caravan' is what I would call a static caravan or static mobile home. This park was stunning, set in beautiful countryside overlooking in a Welsh valley full of grazing sheep. This video offers an inside look and tour of both the park and our 6-berth caravan. The caravan had two bedrooms (sleeping two each) and two bathrooms and space for another two to sleep in the lounge. The lounge was HUGE. Some of the caravans on the site were just beautiful - real works of art - like the one I'm standing in front of in the video's thumbnail picture. Their owners design them like they would a proper house and to a very high spec. The caravan park also has a lovely restaurant, bar and tennis court (all reviewed) and there are lots of great fun activities to do from the park. I visited Conwy, where I walked the town's medieval 13th century walls and visited the smallest house in Great Britain (see next video). I also found a couple of amazing beaches. One was at Colwyn Bay and the other was even better - we walked across the sand dunes backing Barkby Beach in the seaside resort of Prestatyn and found our own private cove (see video). And also not to miss is National Trust's Bodnant Gardens - they are just beautiful. You could spend a whole day exploring its expansive grounds.

Another very good video !!! That caravan looked so ~meticulously clean & huge !!! And that bottle of a prosecco was super !!! It seems like those Welsh hosts really go beyond our expectations !! I see a lot of those in Y.T.vlogs that those you tubers getting home made / baked cokkies/ biscuits ( British way ) !!! Some got loaves of breads & fruits ,jams ,sweets,biscuits ,some got a gift basket so on !!! Some got printouts of every instruction reg.the kitchen & whereabouts of each item like cups,dishes,cutleries, what shops are nearby ,etc.!!
That famous garden looked so much better in your video than all the photos shown on those sites I had googled !!
You know how to travel to get real good deals !! I loved that big closet & the fact of that caravan came with 2 toilets !!! 👍👍👍Some find it very important / convenient including me !!! Lol.💖💜🥁🐉🎤🎵🎶💞

@@gowithjo1 We Japanese call it caravans,too ,I believe !! Lol. Here in U.S.,I thought some call it caravans ,too !? They/ we usually say mobile homes ! I know English call it mobile homes !! I didn't know what " static " caravans meant ,or the word til I started googling for caravan accommodations. 💜🥁🐉🎤💞

@@gowithjo1 Lol. I found it very nice that you Brits really know how to enjoy your vacations in many ways & really go out !! Not like Americans ( many just stay homes !! A lot of 'em have never held a passport in their hands !! ) & Japanese tend to spend a bit too much for their vacations ,not real casual ,outdoor activities ! Some athletic people do ! But ,it's a lot different .Almost either swimming/ surfing ,or staying inside of their accomodations & walk around the places they're staying at !And shopping !! Lol. I admire Brits & Europeans know how to max their holidays & have real fun !! And many accomodation places are self catering, so lots of you cook on your vacations , that is neat & fun !! Saves lots £££ !! We don't have those static caravans / mobile homes here in the U.S. ,or never in Japan !! LOL.Our Japanese ideas of " vacations " are more involved with fancy full course gourmet dinners & hot springs ,spas so on !! Lol. So, they / we tend to splurge on those ,so really limited for many middle class people in Japan to go on vacations !!
I also find it to do with the environmental factors ! Especially in Wales ,Italy ...you just have to step out & walk a bit ,boom ,you're in the middle of a beach ,or woods !!! I envy that !! Not for Londoners ,of course ! Lol. But , you go out to the beache ,or bay ...in my country Japan ,it takes a lot time from the cities ,or suburbs to get to the beaches ,or bays !! Either by train or driving ! ( forget driving !! Lol. ) Here , some Americans do love going to beaches ,but,not so casually ,or impulsively ,or more freely / casually like you do...more plans involved usually !! Lol. And ends up spending lots of money as everything is more costly by the beaches here ( foods ,drinks ,parking ,etc. ) Not to mention the traffic jams in L.A. !!! Lol. 😅💜💜💜💜🥁🐉🎵🎤🎶💞
