- Whipped up a quick video of the majority of the Boost repairs and getting it ready for a trip to Canada. Lbird (my father) works some body shop magic on the pipe, I steal some parts off the 650, Fedex does a thing, and the Assault gets a new look. Enjoy the montage!
Hey, at the end of the day it just meant that you got to spend more time with your pops which is priceless. I’d say it all worked out!
Ok thanks !!!
Call Southside Sales in North Adams Massachusetts. They’re on the border of Vermont.
I think damage to that stock pipe would’ve been a good excuse to go with a nice ceramic coated aftermarket pipe 🤷🏻♂️
If there were an option for the Boost sleds I would have considered it, unfortunately to my knowledge there's nothing available for the Boost's yet.
Hey just wanted to know in one of your videos you had air bubbles in your oil line did the air bubbles come back after your fix I have two 22 xcr 850 both have air bubbles northstar has a kit says will fix problem for 75 $ a kit
According to Polaris small bubbles will always come and go (in stock form) but once the major bleed is done they *should* remain under an inch in length. There’s a few oil tank vent kits out there, i switched to the Arctic Cat vented caps and havent had an issue. Depending on the level of peace of mind you want one of the upgrade kits may not be a bad idea!
How come you switched the shocks? 👀. What no testing??? 😮
The KYB's got swapped out for the 650 shocks due to the KYB's not having enough compression stroke for big moguls after being shortened .5" and revalved a bit softer. They worked great in their stock length of 18.5" to test some theories last year, but now the body of them is just too long to utilize them with taller spindles, so it's time for them to go down the road to someone else. Some new fancy shocks are on order with Wenzlaff Performance.
Did you check with Northstar Performance in Conway NH for an A arm? or Al's?
Oop's I see Fed Ex showed up!
@@FZ583 Unfortunately if it's not at the dealer 1.5hr away I usually just order from FixMyToys as the drive time back and forth kills me in the shop when it comes to keeping up with customer work.
Where you going in Quebec?
We went up to Mattawin/Trois-Rives area I believe...I still don't really know, the boys said "hey do you wanna go to canada?" and I said 'Yup!'
Solid area! It’s the free weekend so the trails are going to be busy!
Dealership might just be out of stock. Used to work as a parts desk manager at a Polaris/cat dealership. Had many people upset I didn't have what they needed in stock. Well I had 10 of them, but other people took them already. More are coming. Sorry. Lol also there's a really strange phenomenon I noticed. If someone comes for a certain part, chances are your going to sell another of that same part that same day. It's super weird but it happened a lot. I've had parts that sat for years, and one guy snags one, then another random dude buys up the second. Lol
Nice work on getting the sled ready for to next ride! The pipe will be just fine for your trip.
It's certainly possible, but when it's every dealer sub 3hrs/in the state and it's been an issue with a lot of other parts all season, something's up haha. There's definitely a handful of dealers doing very well on keeping items stocked for their customers.
The pipe is definitely operational and worked great all weekend in Canada!
@@MunsonMotorsports yeah regardless it sucks they didn't have one! Hopefully they aren't on backorder. I always hated parts on backorder.
The arctic cat oil cap is it just your standard cap do you have a part number
I have the number back at the shop, if i don’t comment back Monday, comment here again and I’ll get it to ya! It’s the standard vented cap without a checkball, tried and true design they’ve used for a long time
Arctic Cat 2670-643 👍
👍
I like the black hood. Why replace the pipe?
I like things to be back to as close to perfect as possible, mainly thinking about potential resale down the road...but due to some other stuff in the works that pipe may have to go back/get exchanged for a different one 👀
