So many of the cheaper anamorphic have the pincushion distortion. These blazar’s actually look good. Thanks for sharing the test. This 40mm looks really versatile. I’ve been thinking of having an anamorphic on hand but honestly have no projects or clients requesting it. I might be more interested in a set of the vintage Russian Helios 3 lens set. 37mm, 58mm and 135. Being aspherical, I could probably introduce them into my work easier.
Yup! Hoping this spec project could lead to other anamorphic requests. That Helios set is sick. I’m just such a sucker for AF for corporate and doc work. If I was doing more commercial work with a proper AC, things will change
Great video, man! Thanks for answering my question. On another note, I’m gonna have to stop watching these Blazar videos, lol might have to pick one up! That anamorphic look is just different!
@@benarnoux anytime bro! Dude, it really is a sick set. I also want it but it’s not a need right now. If I can make a way for this to work into my paid work.. then I’d Consider it lol
@@orbitmotion9872 I’ve used the wooden camera one. It’s great if you have the wooden camera top plate on the FX6 (camera I used it on). I’ve heard good things about the metabones as well

+1 for the Helios. Best of both worlds :)

nice! do you have any videos on color grading your fx6 footage?
Looks awesome. How did you focus those test shots at the court???
@@PeteMajarich thanks! Just manually focused with my hand. The good old fashioned way!
Nice. On which camera did you shoot the basketball scenes? Full frame fx3? So no open gate?
Great Video. Remus Lens Are Amazing...

This was my first time shooting anamorphic. Let me know if anything I shared was wrong 😂
whats adapter PL to E mount do you use?

What adapter did you use for the lens? These lenses only come in PL and EF mounts
@@SecoMediaGroup metabones Ef to E. It’s an old smart adapter that I would use on my a7s 2 with canon photo lenses.
beast
Thanks bud
nice man, nisi new cine primes are getting word around, keep rockin.
@@hari_fyi thanks! I’ll check those out too
Whyd you crop on the monitor ?
Because the aspect ratio I wanted to use is not as wide as what it natively pops out (2:66:1 to 2:39:1)
