This actually sounds better than original. Paradox used actual German recording instead of singing their own with Swedish accent like they did with Panzerlied, thanks to that, it now sounds more authentic and epic combined with the remade music. Very well done job.

The bass in this song is so crisp and grand. It really does remind me of 1944 germany where the allies are closing in and former axis powers have either capitulated or turned against you and now the country calls you on a last stand at repelling the allies from further advancing and save the country from further humiliation, I sure wonder how that one turned out!

The, in my opinion, best version of Argonnerwaldlied was taken down from Dr Ludwig's channel not so long ago. It's the old one with the beautiful singing by a lone man vocalist. It plays slower and is not in any martial pace at all, more slow and gentle going. In it there were beautiful fills with really sparse brass too. Maybe a lone violin, perhaps, if I recall correctly. For losing it meant that the entire nation - not just the 5 eastern states - would be occupied by the Red Army.
