I don't know if you still have the scope but I was able to place two strips of scotch tape at the three contact points on the focuser tube to tighten up the slop. Just a thought.
I bought the Meade Polaris 70/900mm EQ Refractor and I was surprised how sharp and clear the images were for a small scope. I would recommend it to someone starting out.
Talking about table top dobsonian telescopes iv'e decided to buy one.Iv'e decided to go for the biggest one,i'm thinking of the bresser 6 inch, which looks very nice and not too higher price.
Thanks for the review! Sounds like a really good deal, especially compared to the Sky Scanner. Besides the collimatable primary mirror, the other thing going for this scope is the slightly longer focal length (500mm) compared to the other tabletop 4.5" scopes (450mm) out there.
Thank you for the review. I think it would be a good addition for my night programs. While I'm tracking stuff down with my other telescopes and working with the more patient people, I could turn the youngsters loose with this one if they get bored.
When I saw these for a hundred bucks a few months ago I really wanted one. But wait I have to many scopes right now...great video thanks for sharing ...Martonian
Very nice review. A lot of good practical observations placed in the context of price and performance compared to larger telescopes. Good job!
Thanks for the kind words.

Best review on this telescope. It’s essentially a starblast 4.5. Thanks for posting

That should be coming in handy right now with Jupiter, Saturn, and soon to be Mars.
Agreed :)

I've seen them on EBay sometimes. Really liked that they could use 2 inch eyepieces.

Yes. I don't even see how Orion is trying to sell the Skyscanner for the same price.

I had the same thought, but my resistance broke down. I am getting rid of 2 or 3 scopes though.
Yes.That's a big reason to buy one.
Great review, help me made my mind
Happy to hear you found it useful.
Excellent review.
Thanks.
Nice little telescope! I've seen a lot of kids use this type of scope :)
It's a great telescope for beginners of any age. I wish I could use mine. Been cloudy almost every night in South Florida for two months.
BigYingAdventurestoo ☺ cool, I wish you clear skies
Where can I find a solar filter for this telescope?
I found one for a different scope on Amazon.
Trapezium!!!
those eyepiece are more expensive than the scope
I also tested it with the eyepieces it came with. They are the best Kellners I have used.
