Thank you so much for this video, I've been torn not knowing what would be a good telescope to buy as a first time user. You've just helped me make my decision!
It is a great scope to start with and yes you can get clear images. As far as useful magnification I have never used any lenses smaller than 9mm so I can not answer your question. As far as deep sky objects, you can see some of the brighter objects but this is a smaller scope so it does not have the light gathering of a larger scope. But for planetary astronomy this is great. Easy to use and easy to move. Clear Skies!
I agree, Orion manufactures great telescopes, for beginers is great easy to use and carry. I've got the Starmax 90mm Mak-Cass, got some HD videos if you like to see them. Greeting from europe from a humble amateur astronomer. Good video review. Cheers mate.
I'm not sure what your issue might be I have never had trouble when using my 22mm. Contact Orion via their online help desk they will be able to walk you through your problem. I have used their online help desk and they are really are good about helping their customer.
***** I put the eye piece in the eye piece holder and tighten the set screws and the use the focus knobs to adjust until the image is clear in the eye piece.
***** That is a general purpose eye piece good for all viewing. If you are unable to focus on the moon you may need to return your telescope for repair. You REALLY need to contact ORION for this issue.
Yes! You will have some great images of the moon. But you would be doing yourself a favor if you also pick up a moon filter to go along with you telescope. Clear Skies!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Wishing you clear skies.
Thanks for the review buddy! I can't lug around a large scope either...I'm going to give this one a try.
I think you will be happy with it. You can always contact me again if you have any questions or issues.
