John Fields with all his rich talents is rarely featured in international concerts. Conductors must take the initiative. Zubin Mehta rarely takes up baroque scores.Composers like Guiseppe Ferlendis and Josef Fiala must be popularised and heard more. Titus. Trivandrum.
This concerto is Field’s weakest, IMO. It’s not just you. (That said, I’d still rather listen to this than most other classical music, and the second movement is one of his better ones.)

I'm really enjoying the piano concertos by my fellow-Dubliner John Field. Thank you for sharing these rarely heard gems.

3:45 sounds like an Irish reel in classical music to me!
The Larghetto is I guess taken from Field's Nocturne No. 6,but just some melodies are changed and the key is just a semitone lower

This is a lovely piece, but the first and third movements need much more convincing endings.

Perphaps i lacked a little more tensión, drama at the end of the first movement.
