Great bike, very heavy duty and great battery life. Dav in VA BEACH was really helpful and fixed my bike very reasonable when it fell off the bike rack. I got my bike mainly for hunting but use it more now for joy riding. It’s more quiet than you would think because of the tires are not all knobby. If anything were to change on it, it would be lower the middle bar about three inches at the seat area. I’m 66 years young and not a problem now but I’m afraid maybe later when I start getting older.. I love my Tahoe sport. Thanks Dav at Elux bike shop.
Of all the bike reviews from trek haibike specialized etc etc this rear motor red e bike has to be the epitome of what an e bike should be! Yes I get it regarding still getting exercise etc on pedal assists etc but for me being a motorcyclist as well as a taxi driver here in the UK this e bike is what it should be. Normally I'm not keen on these kind of low rider/custom looks but wow it is one beautiful machine! Thanks for the video court. Cheers
I am thinking of getting one of these but I'm worried about durability. I have heard a few comments from people who have said the engine overheated or shut-off and left them stranded. I can't seem to find anyplace online where there are a good number of reviews. I wish there were a way to get more feedback on how durable these are!!
Can you provide any more information on Sam's helmet? He says "Surface" but that doesn't seem to be enough info. Maybe a link? That helmet is just too cool!!
Not a bad idea there, I appreciate how some frames do have mounting brackets at the head tube for the addition of racks. The E-Lux Tahoe looks beautiful and is probably more about cruising than utility, even with the rear rack
Great bike Court.I am seeing e-bikes for sales at Sears on-line. These are very expensive bikes reduced significantly price wise. Are you aware? So tempted to buy but is it too good to be true.Or maybe because they need to be assembled.Would appreciate your reply.Love your videos and really want to purchase an e-bike.
Those are good solutions, you can definitely take the key out when locking the pack to the frame and leaving, but it has to remain in when pedaling, so if you've got a keychain it might rattle or snag clothing. Good point about marking the seat post, it's just inconvenient to have to remove it every time and other battery designs do not require this (some ebikes use flip-forward saddles as a solution)
I love it.... How muck room is in the back for a Bike, if any. I don’t think my Haibike Full Fat Six 7.0 will fit but maybe. What are your thoughts Patrick?? Dave
Hi Benjamin, it really depends on the application. The E-Lux Tahoe Sport is unique because it's a fat tire model with cruiser ergonomics and slick tires... it's a lot of fun :) but I usually ride full suspension mountain bikes because I only have space for one platform and occasionally go for light trail rides. The full suspension brings a lot of comfort. I like Haibike, Bulls, and Specialized, but Trek has also produced some amazing FS ebikes in recent years. How about you?
This is that one bike that I like that doesn't fit the usual niche. Allot of these videos are a bit too metro for me. I'd really like to see tests a little more off road but not something sofa king crazy.
Elux tahoe is not that great . I wouldn't buy one again .I have had enough problems with mine that I wouldn't buy it again or that brand . SUPER HEAVY , 175 pounds at least, almost impossible to pedal or ride on 0 PAS .Feels like it full of lead. The stock tires slip on asphalt ,. the motor overheats and shuts off the bike after 30 minutes of continuous use , the battery comes loose on bumps and it shuts off and a couple of other problems with the dealer I bought it from in SO-CAL Bikes in Palm Desert ca. Customer service SUCKS!!! In addition, the TAHOE , Doesn't hold its value . I paid 2600 for it in November 2018, I was told by one of owners of elux , Jerry, that it is only worth 1000.00 dollars now , Aug 2020 . Thats a big decline in value. I would suggest to anyone looking for an E -bike , DO NOT purchase Elux. Extremely disappointed and unsatisfied.
Ion electric bikes has a much nicer bike with higher quality components for a lower price. Much more comfortable handle bars, 9 speed rapid fire shifter and big 203mm brakes. Compare for yourself. ionelectricbicycles.com/electric-bikes/2-183-e-z-rider-electric-fat-tire-beach-cruiser#/32-bike_color-orange_blaze

Waiting on my Tahoe GT this week !!!!!!

Nice bike
That chain bouncing looks sketchy
What's the name if Sam's shop?
Fullerton Ca. ?
I was thinking the same in the section of the video that focused on it. ElectricBikeReview, what do you think?
Does the Battery come out...Please show how to .
Once the seat is out of the way it just pulls straight out.
When I saw the bike in the thumbnail I knew Sam would be in the review

At this price point the bike should also have a front rack to maximize its everyday usefulness.

hey man how come u guys are wearing t-shirts??? we freezing up in new york here...keep posting...
That chain bouncing like that... guaranteed you'll need to constantly retouch the paint on that chain guard. I'd swap for plastic or carbon fiber.
Surely you can take the key out when you go away it doesn't have to stay in at the bike rack , and if your smart you just mark your seat dont you .

@@ElectricBikeReview i agree it could be smarter not to take seat out but cant you just rotator it .

Whats your all time favourite ebike?

How is a 90 year old lugging a bike that heavy in and out of the house or garage?

Court, when you die we will make sure there are ‘bottle cage bosses’ on the sides of your grave stone . . . because we know you’d want it that way. 😊
👍
Thanks for your support Minnie :)
