One problem with Leon crest is that it's middle part is really loose. On my Leon crest it was busting every 2 battles, and I don't think they made it tight enough. Overall solid bey, but too burst prone.
I got a keel shark (single pack) that was super loose on the attack ring where the fake rivets or screw things go into the plastic, you can pull up a bit there (on both sides) and the ratchet going in is really loose, no way to tighten that since it’s just the mold (or perhaps the looseness of the plastic and metal is causing it?) cause I got the green shark 2 pack and it is in perfect condition compared to the single purple. I got the purple from Walmart (and a chain incendio too that’s loose) and the green shark (and more that aren’t lose) from target
gear needle is made to be loser than the attack bits so it should be a defect because the middle part doesn't control the burst resistance. the bit controls the resistance
Leon Crest while not perfect,TT should go more into the direction of this Bey for Defense. I think they made the perfect Bey thats while an improvement to Leon Claw and Defense Types in general isnt too overpowered like a Wizard Rod situation So Im very pleased with it. Awesome unboxing Jake! Hopefully you get it and do Aero Pegasus
I have to say it is intentional that defense Beys in Beyblade X are unbalanced because the way to launch these Beys is not straight, but rather you have to launch the Beys at an angle, that's because these Beys are also launched at an angle in the anime because the top of the Beys is more like a shield
I wonder why this isn't even being talked about much when it was pretty obvious that defense types in X are supposed to be launched at an angle. Tbh, the only issues with the defense types of X are the weight and the bits having a low burst resistance
@@TimoBorkowski they said on X that one of the people that were working on designs are trying to make it look like it is in the anime, but need new launch cords in able to replicate it, since it's hard for. It to just stay at an angle when launching.
Current Defense typing is a response to what happened in MF where so many defense wheels became viable as attack wheels simply due to weight despite less aggressive designs(also why attack types are the heaviest now). The result being TT making all of the X defense types lighter and focused on “count attack” and evasion as opposed to being brick walls. Getting defense types around 35-36g is probably optimal if attack types stay around 37-38 imo
I say over all the bit is holding Crest back, as it tips easily and don't nothing to prevent it from moving. So interms of the balance, I say go for a bit like Orb, and in terms of tanking, something like Hexa
Hexa gives it laughably bad stamina - it gets outspun by attack types. I've also tried Ball and Disc Ball and they have the same problem with tipping over too easily since Crest is top heavy. There's a short on my channel about this
@bntrs That is true. I saw 1234Beyblade's video on it. He did use a lot of "outlier beys" that are part of the competitve meta in his Leon Crest, but one thing was apparent, and it's that stamina is one of its weaknesses. That, and a lot of defence types get spin finished from attack types due to how pointy their bits are.
@@bntrs I've found Point, Gear Point, and Unite to be really good on LeonCrest especially for defeating WizardRod. Hexa kept getting ruined by the top heaviness and quickly dropped that idea too
I really like the look of this blade and ratchet. In burst I loved defense beys and was really disappointed with how theyve been in X so far, with a different bit I imagine a good stamina/defense combo would be a good possibility
Try giving your defense types of slight tilt when you launch them, I do that with my black shell against the shark edge I have and it's able to get some pretty solid wins
TT follows the (manga/story) and everything about it that’s why they don’t just add random pieces bc it would throw some off the concept it was built around and add confusion I’m guessing
7-60. I had high hopes. I really hate this unbalance on purpose. It started in Burst, that why I do not really like the burst era as a whole. This does not make the battles more exciting, but unpredictable.
TT could've given us a new Defense Bit or Dot at least, but they gave us the Gear Needle. IMO, this is their (scummy) strategy for people to buy more Beyblades if you wanna replace that part you didn't like, like Cobalt Dragoon for its 2-60 that makes everyone wanna replace it by buying other Beys.
Hey nuc my dagger dran and tusk mammoth blades are like not screwed in fully together or something, should i be worried? Like i mean the plastic and metal aren't screwed in fully together
@@nuc a bit at times yeah, I've seen that the screws actually never got anymore loose so maybe it was always like that but I'm just a bit worried for em
I've actually had some of the worst luck with this as a defence bey. Actually worse than shell or knight lance. Maybe it's just me but the recoil and instability seems pretty rough. Quite like 7-60 though.
Leon Crest stock is actually pretty good if you launch and use it correctly (Absolutely as hard as you can pull, spinning at an angle, and aimed around the middle). I've had no problem surviving hits from Phoenix Wing with Leon Crest - but the community hates Defense types irrationally so I'm speaking to closed ears.
I like how in beyblade x every evolution has the same avatar just on a different angle, which kind of reflects how, as long as I know, no evolution in meant to replace the previous one in the anime but rather focusing on another aspect of it
Yep, its kind of being side grade. Like X still has both dagger and sword with him even though he got buster. Same with bird and multi, hells line, knight line and wizard line can still be used if necessary, depending on the opponents. Sometimes even they changed types, like this Leon Crest and Phoenix Rudder.

This was the perfect Bey to release a wide ball bit but it’s cool I guess we’ll just miss out

If they do something like gear hex or if you threw a gear ball on this I bet that’d be good
Crest might be meta against left beys
I'm surprised that he used Black Shell as an example and not Shinobi Shadow.
Shinobi is just horrible, that literally everything is better. Meanwhile shield and black shell have more success in combos.
