well, i guess those grunge comparisons can be thrown out the window. nothing on the album sounds like yuk foo(other than it lol) or moaning lisa or youre a germ or fluffy...these guys are very complex. i do prefer the heavier side of them...but i am a shoegaze fan so it will appeal to me. they have so many sounds.
Yeah I agree, I hear shoegaze, grunge, alt rock, metal (black sabbath esque riff in Giant Peach), pop punk (on the early EPs), prog (in this track) and I'm sure others hear many other sounds. Genres not important though, important thing is how good they sound...which is very good!
