Netflix really chose some horrible people. It's perfect. It really brought out the worst in these people. The freedom that players had to do what they wanted in games and in the dorms is really fucked up.
This coming out at the same time as the new Hunger Games stuff is impecable timing. Watching people suffer for entertainment. I feel so guilty and yet this is the most entertaining reality show I’ve seen in a LONG time, so there’s no way I’m taking my eyes off.
Yeah making the votes public changed the concept of that challenge but at least the three who got eliminated deserved it except for 374 but he did ask for it
I love it! I just wish there werent so many random elimination because its getting old fast. Id rather see them play games ,and actually compete against each other.
It is a lot of people so not everyone will be eliminated in the games. And remember they’re going off the actual show, there’s only like 5 or six actual games and the rest are tests.
I feel like the eliminations are tantamount to them randomly killing each other in the show, but it still feels like the worst way to leave just cause someone said so
This reminds me of the disturbing psychological experiments they don't allow researchers to do anymore, like the one where people role play being prisoners or guards. We've already proved that under certain conditions people forget this is role-playing and can actually suffer severe consequences. Beyond the fact that this reality show missed the point of the original, it sounds like it could cause real harm and I don't trust Netflix to care about the emotional well being of the contestants. I can't support this.

@@robbiedamascus I get that you have your own opinion but you have to admit that it got ridiculous when they started adding drama. Netflix tried to paint here's and villains in the first episode, THE FIRST ONE! What makes it worse is that players like 330 where voted out because of peer pressure. All he did was give suggestions and he was suddenly enemy number 1. Then they made it all about feminism and how the men were sexist for starting their on groups, ridiculous if you ask me. The challenges they added were annoying and unnecessary, the phone one was there for no reason and them taking away tug of war for battleship was so dumb. Yeah she gaslighted Mai when she spoke to her after saying she done nothing wrong.. was so confused when nobody called Ashley out during and after the bridge game. IMO Mai is such a good soul and as weird as it sounds I felt a connection with her even though she don’t know me 😂 Hope she wins
I think there might’ve been some editing tricks there as 1. No one seemed to mention or care much after that happened 2. Ashley said she did take a jump and said it to everyone else, which I was confused about because the show clearly showed her saying she didn’t agree to blah and how she wasn’t taking over for him, but that made me remember what show I was watching: a reality show, not everything is what they perceive Also, IT’S A GAME AND YPURE SUPPOSED TO COME OUT ON TOP. I wasn’t mad at anyone’s decision. At the end of the day, you go hard for yourself
Thank you!!! That was driving me crazy. It's like they collectively forgot how Ashley didn't follow through with the plan when they were at the glass bridge. It was so messed up. But somehow, everyone turned on Mai??? That made no sense.

Rock Paper Scissors: If one player wins, that winner chooses first. If two players win, those two winners play another round to determine final winner. If three players win, the three play again to determine final winner. But I think maybe the reason why nobody suggested it, is because nobody wanted to play a fair game in choosing the shape.

In the show, they literally end the lives of hundreds of desperate people and make them do unspeakable things. The "game" only exists because of the twisted whims of those who have money and thus hold power. To turn that into an actual game reduces the original story to a mindless spectacle for entertainment and ignores the main point - that this shouldn't be a thing that exists.
I’m glad it was similar format to the show and they didn’t have an Andy Cohen or Terry Crews type to try and add “colorful commentary” or instigate reactions.

I feel guilty for even being curious about this show; like it's so fucked up. A while ago I kind of started thinking money based game shows in general were kind of fucked up when you really thing about it (though yes I still watch them) but this is kind of on another level. Like they fully made the fucked up show that is a critique on capitalism into an actual game show which in itself kind of points to the exploitation of capitalism. And we can't fucking get enough.
Guys please….don’t feel guilty. They’re all in there by free will. Yes, some of them take it way too seriously and the editing contributes that to persuade the audience. The women crying about her kids came out of nowhere. Everyone who gets propt up gets eliminated and I'm over here like when we get down to the top 30 some random person is going to suddenly get thrown in my screen talking about how hard it was for them to get here. I get that the cast is huge and it's hard to edit and include but surely they could have made a better story then what they gave us.
Yes all the good “main character energy” type of people all left so quickly! There’s no one interesting left. And all these random people are just not worth investing in. After the old man & young guy duo left there’s just no one to root for. I know they’re trying to make us love the mother son duo but they’re just not like-able at all. I’ll still watch the rest of the season on the 29th but I just could care less who wins or loses at this point. All the characters I started to get attached to left for such dumb reasons.
Too many good people got eliminated for my liking, I did not expect the people to make the final who have made the final . I think I'm only sort of rooting for Mae now. I've only watched the first 2 episodes but I totally blown away! Wow it's more intense than the series! I like the fact that I can see the true colors of each player, greediness or kindness especially 134 and 101 when they removed no. 200, instead of helping, they chose to eliminate him. 😢 And Karma is a b*tch! For 342, even though everyone is annoyed with him, I still want him to stay because I like his strong personality. And for 299, I felt sad for him, I was annoyed with others who blamed him. I love it! I just wish there werent so many random elimination because its getting old fast. Id rather see them play games ,and actually compete against each other.
Yes, too much of it is just people being eliminated for no reason, not because they failed at something.
Need a backstory
It is a lot of people so not everyone will be eliminated in the games. And remember they’re going off the actual show, there’s only like 5 or six actual games and the rest are tests.
I feel like the eliminations are tantamount to them randomly killing each other in the show, but it still feels like the worst way to leave just cause someone said so
I actually like the dorm room eliminations because it shows how shady people can get
I feel so bad for number 299 Spencer 😢 Jeeezzz it was a messs. He wanted to throw up, but keep fighting it. My God!!!!
These ppl willingly signed up for the show. They all watched the series and knew what it was about, and actively seeked out participation…
Personally, I don't understand why they don't give them food. What's the point of starving them?
@@theCatsitter878I doubt a giant tech company (especially after Love is Blind controversy), would be dumb enough to “starve” their contestants on their most popular television production broadcasted worldwide. 😂 that was probably just staged to replicate the actual show and they received regular/normal foods while they weren’t looking for reaction footage.

@@TinyManu77 Oh no.. don't get me wrong. I admit that. It's ridiculous and completely nonsense, BUT that's why I think it's good. IMO Mai is such a good soul and as weird as it sounds I felt a connection with her even though she don’t know me 😂 Hope she wins
Mai is just as bad too, she didn’t follow thru with the girls plan
I think there might’ve been some editing tricks there as
1. No one seemed to mention or care much after that happened
2. Ashley said she did take a jump and said it to everyone else, which I was confused about because the show clearly showed her saying she didn’t agree to blah and how she wasn’t taking over for him, but that made me remember what show I was watching: a reality show, not everything is what they perceive
Also, IT’S A GAME AND YPURE SUPPOSED TO COME OUT ON TOP. I wasn’t mad at anyone’s decision. At the end of the day, you go hard for yourself

Rock Paper Scissors: If one player wins, that winner chooses first. If two players win, those two winners play another round to determine final winner. If three players win, the three play again to determine final winner.

Players have said they weren’t allowed to use a game to pick shapes. They weren’t even sure if the race would have counted.

i agree with everything. the only person i was rooting for was the old man the gganbu gang or whatever it was called. when he got eliminated i was pretty upset
@@ashley.taylor174 Well she backed it up, totally crushed the other team during battleboat. It's exactly this anti-intellectualism in America that's making each generations dumber and dumber.
Gganbu gang was literally the chill comfort team; best bois. No paid actors, no toxicity, no stealing, not crazy. Just hanging out.
@@Mngalahadthem being chill and being men got that Black woke lesbian triggered tho 🙄🙄
My takeaway so far is .... don't EVER be first in a line .... OOOF
The show gets crazier by the episode. Cant wait for Nov 29th
I have watched you for years as a bachelor fan so this is surreal seeing you cover this because I WAS ACTUALLY A CONTESTANT! 😂
How was the experience?
What number were you?
Was y'all acting, or was it 100% real
You lying
@@editornoob4606 This is not acted. 1. I have following the Stephen guy on instagram for over a year. So I know for a fact he’s not an actor. He lives in K.C. And owned a moving company that went out of business.
2. When their money there is actually laws and rules that the production company has to follow. Because if not what would stop something from production from rigging the whole thing for a friend or family member of theirs to win. So yeah production isn’t really allowed to control things when money is involved especially millions of dollars
Can we talk about how a lot of men cried! I hardy see it but in this show wow
I think the show is great, I don’t know what everyone is complaining about
Agreed
Well, a lot of the complaints come form participants themselves. Apparently, they weren't treated the best way while filming the show. Some say they didn't get enough food and suffered from hypothermia.
I binged the first 3 episodes last night. I read they actually had to stay frozen for 20-30 minutes at a time in the Red Light Green Light game, that temperatures inside the hangar reached 17-degrees and took 9 hours to tape.
I actually liked it. Most people who say its bad judged by just seeing first 10 mins. I felt it got better in the later episodes. It’s not easy to shoot this as a reality show with 456 contestants.
I loved the 3rd game was even better than the actual Squid Game one.
I follow your bachelor nation content, and I was SO EXCITED to see that you covered this, too!!! Love your perspective on things, I wanted a good recap/opinion video, you’re the best.
Player 211 here!! RLGL was so much harder than shown ofc! We played that game for HOURSSSSS so be nice to the girl who decided to give up bc she was in the squat 😭
Heyyy 433 here…ur so right. She’s probably held the squat for at least 10-15 minutes
Bruh the picnic part was crazy 🤣🤣🤣
I felt there would be a twist I naturally would have choose to sit with someone I hadn't spoken to...
I really loved 432, 161 and the gganbu gang, but they had to eliminate them😭
Same. 432 and 161 were the best
I love gganbu gang😭 Rick and Stephen are like father and son duo😭
@@alayzamae172 Same man , was rooting for rick and stephen the whole time but that cocky girl just had to eliminate them
161 was the best but got eliminated because he didn’t want granny’s Apple I laughed so HARD
I can’t stand 432 but he makes the best faces 😂😂
SPOILER AHEAD:
I actually wanted him to last more because he made other people mad and that was fun to watch 😂 But I do agree he had a superior attitude which was annoying
This show is so intense I was at the edge of my seat, but I was kinda mad when 432 got out he was the main entertainment…
fr…
i kinda actually liked it-
I enjoyed the show, but after thinking it over for a minute, doesn't it undermine the message of the actual series?
The fact that no one on this show or watching this show understands what Squid Game was about.
Or everyone understands and knows 2 things:
-this does not take away the message and show’s success
-people still want a chance to win money (as shown by the volunteers who didn’t get murdered & who weren’t even as down bad as the characters in the show…they just live in the world we do too)
I don’t think it’s that deep in general
The problem is the way they’ve gone about things. As reality shows are: they’re fake, so they’ve done some editing and probing too keep viewers interested but honestly made some things confusing
And conditions (at least in the first game)
Otherwise, the idea in general is fine. Like the Mr.Beast one (except I heard his was even better because even losers got $, so it was just for the fun of it)
I’m player 187!
How was your experience?
I know netflix reality tv game shows are so scripted and acted, but this one is so over the top lol

I wonder why we are getting so vaque answers. When the producers of the show were interviewed about the authenticity of the show, they never gave straight answers but instead revealed that it was partly scripted.
For me it feels that it's quite obvious there are actors in play. The social dynamics in the show feel way too convenient for entertainment and general feel is unnatural.
instagram...so an actor okay lol@@ikexbankai
@@ikexbankai I don't think it "went out of business". They seem to have given up the business to all become full-time influencers. Cringe.
@@Shungarui it’s striped in terms of what game is next. But by tax law and “gambling” laws the producers cannot strip who wins 4.6 million. That’s against the law
Surprisingly this show is well made
I watched it through the eyes of comedy and kind of reality. I laughed a lot and tbh I’m enjoying it lol it’s entertaining and in my opinion it doesn’t scream scripted like everyone saying. I think ofc there’s contracts and obligations like acting as if they’re shot but the rest feels real.
Yea player 107 (the guy who was the first to finish red light green light) made a TH-cam video and in it he said it wasn’t scripted
Actually my family enjoyed the show and it's really a good psychological reality TV series. It's brings the real color of people in terms of eyeing for the reward. People have desires and greed that makes us evil in anyway we could think of.
Same, I enjoyed it as well.
Bro the girl that eliminated bro who won the random advantage from the Jack in The Box 💀💀💀and Jada stealing bro’s burger I love this show 😭😭
It starts to slow down around episode 3/4 but it's extremely good.
I feel like there could be some serious/long lasting psychological damage from this
I was pretty disappointed by the fact that pretty much every contestant were from the US, with some exceptions. I thought it was going to be an international competition, with people who knew English but came from all over the world. 🤔
Why would it be like that lmao
Gave us the worst of Americans
@@Nefarious24Mothi/200 was a interesting British guy who immediately got eliminated by those two idiots chopping carrots for some reason (scripted much??)
@@NewOrderOfAlexandriai was so annoyed by that, they literally talked about this cocky 432 guy and they still didnt pick him wtf
It's not surprising though. We ammies would love a show like this of course...also coming from a capitalist system compared to others with planning markets, big difference
Wait .. these are not actors ????? Mate I’ve watched this whole first part bored to death thinking these were actors lmao 🤣
That’s what I thought when I first watched it from what I’m reading it looks like it was turned into a real game show
Looks like it might be scripted somewhat with some actors mixed in
Battle ship was amazing!!
that guy comparing himself to christ was so strange. jesus would never say sympathy is a weakness. the amount of people jesus had sympathy for…
