Ok so I want to become an actress and have been doing so. How I told my parents was just straight up I want to act. But I also did TH-cam videos showing my acting so they helped me. If you want it bad enough just ask them. Or practice a script online and record yourself show your parents and then ask them.
I don't think I'm going to be able to be an actor until I'm 18 because my mum can't leave work but I'll use that time to train my self.......These videos help me so much, thank for giving us your time and support we all love you
I want to be a film producer and screenwriter, but too be honest its a unrealistic job that's really hard to get I'm not leaving my day job until I'm actually a producer. I prayed to God 30 times to let me become a film producer and he finally answered my prayers around 2:00 am in my dream. So now I know it's time for me to hustle to get my movies made. If I didn't hear God tell me you will be a filmmaker I would still be saying it's an unrealistic job.
I tried to ask my mom if I could be an actor and she said “all they do is make you get naked for a movie” and I thought *Dang, I guess I know what movies you watch now*

it’s okay take online classes, there are online classes for free, acting classes on youtube. if u still want to be an actor in the future take college classes for it. you can also print scripts and practice. makayla’s channel has videos on how to analyze and break down scripts. just in case u can’t access a printer, options are school library, local library, or just make edits on your device with the script. i really hope this helps:)! Hopefully u still wanna be an actor since this comment was a year ago😂

You don’t have to move to a major city for acting you could probably see if there are any student or independent film makers seeking actors to build a resume and then you could submit to agencies
All I told my dad was "I wanna be a actor and I'm not" because I was arguing with my sister and she was like "I wanna (I don't remember what she said) and I don't have it" then I said that and my dad said "I will see if there is a spot open and you can audition and he said I can be in short films because he knows someone who makes them!!

Ok so basically I had told my mom i wanted to act a while ago and she wasn’t supportive she was like she didn’t wanna see me get hurt if I didn’t get a role and it’s expensive and all that but I just gave it time for her to think for a few months then I had a chance to get into this really good preforming arts school so she sighed me up to audition for this school in may so I talked to her at like 3 am and sat down with her and explained why I wanted to act and why I love it so much basically I told her how I felt and she listened so we made a deal if I get into this preforming arts school she will get me acting classes and we will move on from there I was so excited but first I have to get in this school so wish me luck😁

I always have struggles with my acting career since it isn't really common in my city. My mum is okay with me wanting it, but the only agency is in another place literally thirty minutes away - not only are agencies common there, but also available jobs. The REAL PROBLEM is that where i live (my city ), they don't let anyone IN or OUT because of covid
I was straight up having a mental breakdown last night because my mom wants me to leave my performing arts school and won't allow me go to my dream college so I can be an actress and I have all this people(even my doctor who I just met) supporting me and then there's my mom who should be the first person to support me, going against my dreams, and then I see this video. remember even if your parents dont support you because they dont want to commit and stuff during your high school years, you can try again after your 18! there is no age that is too old to go into acting! Don't let your parents disrupt your dreams soon they will see how committed you are!

I slipped a few mentions of me wanting to be an actress to my mom. I was super stressed to, because honestly I really wasn’t sure how she would react. But for my biggest surprise she took it well, amazing actually. She supported me with the idea. And I’m so glad about that. What are some ways to convince/help your family when it comes to money problems? What can I personally do to try and take that burden of money and time away from them but still try my hand at being an actress? I’ve been discouraged to take up acting from friends/family members growing up when I was serious as you at a young age. Now that I’m 24 I’ve decided to follow my own dreams instead of trying to please everyone else and live theirs. Im in an agency now and giving it all that I have to pursue my dream. Acting is my passion and I know I’ll be up there with you soon one day. Thank you and your mom for the advice even though I’m not a minor it was still awesome to hear the parents perspective on having a career in acting.

My aunt has been supportive of me being an actor even when I wasn't sure about it lol she's put me in acting classes since I was 9 and I'm very open with her about all that stuff but I'm honestly just more nervous about asking about going to a drama academy for college because they are SOO expensive and success is never guaranteed. Hey Makayla your mom is so amazing and everything she said is 100% true. I can totally relate to her because l just starting the same journey with my 8yrs old little boy who just got signed on by an awesome agent and even though right now is a lot of self-taping auditions at home but you as the mom have to spend a lot of time pepping your child and taping his or her Auditions and believe me it’s very time consuming, but at the same time very self satisfying to me.
My parents support me but I live in New Zealand which is like a really unknown country and there aren't any movies or films that are made here, the only movies are normally made in like hollywood, or LA, or canada or something so idk how to get into acting when I live in NZ. in my place the building where tv shows or commercials are mostly occured is 3-5 hours away from my place, and there is covid so I can't go there 🙃

I slipped a few mentions of me wanting to be an actress to my mom. I was super stressed to, because honestly I really wasn’t sure how she would react. But for my biggest surprise she took it well, amazing actually. She supported me with the idea. And I’m so glad about that.

No matter what I do, my parents always go straight to no. I don’t know why they aren’t supporting me and my dreams. I have cried myself to sleep about this stuff, they just won’t take me seriously they think it’s a phase. It really hurts me.

I've shown my interest in acting to my mom I've always been picked in a school play especially to play the main role and really my mom didn't even get the idea that I want to be an actress. And its really hard for me because I wanted to become an actress since I was 5.
I have talent same with singing but I over complicate it so it's terrible I was a tree for something and I took it so bad but I was 10 and one of the youngest and the people that the lead roles were like 16-17
What are some ways to convince/help your family when it comes to money problems? What can I personally do to try and take that burden of money and time away from them but still try my hand at being an actress? Btw I am under 16 so I can't drive yet :( That would have helped a lot.

I’ve been discouraged to take up acting from friends/family members growing up when I was serious as you at a young age. Now that I’m 24 I’ve decided to follow my own dreams instead of trying to please everyone else and live theirs. Im in an agency now and giving it all that I have to pursue my dream. Acting is my passion and I know I’ll be up there with you soon one day. Thank you and your mom for the advice even though I’m not a minor it was still awesome to hear the parents perspective on having a career in acting.

This video was really helpful, I'm 11 and acting just sounds like a really fun job. But sadly I dont think my parents will be able to pay much money, and parents cant miss their work. Maybe when I'm older I be one, and for now I can practice acting and join some plays in my school to not be so shy. But seriously thanks for these videos!
My aunt has been supportive of me being an actor even when I wasn't sure about it lol she's put me in acting classes since I was 9 and I'm very open with her about all that stuff but I'm honestly just more nervous about asking about going to a drama academy for college because they are SOO expensive and success is never guaranteed. Hey Makayla your mom is so amazing and everything she said is 100% true. I can totally relate to her because l just starting the same journey with my 8yrs old little boy who just got signed on by an awesome agent and even though right now is a lot of self-taping auditions at home but you as the mom have to spend a lot of time pepping your child and taping his or her Auditions and believe me it’s very time consuming, but at the same time very self satisfying to me.

My parents support me but I live in New Zealand which is like a really unknown country and there aren't any movies or films that are made here, the only movies are normally made in like hollywood, or LA, or canada or something so idk how to get into acting when I live in NZ.
