If you're constantly living with negative stress and/or anxious/depressed, like Brian mentions, go for a brisk walk, ideally outside in nature, every day long enough that it gets you a little tired and it's a big +1 if its with someone you like to spend time with. It's stupid how simple it is yet amazing how effective that can be. I'm not a doctor but worked at a holiday inn (and have a masters in exercise/sport psychology). Keep after it Brian et. al. and enjoy it

Good timing. Just had a fantastic session with my trainer last week. Got to the weekend and couldn’t find the will to train or barely even get out of bed for 2-3 days.
And now I’m back on track. Outside of physical endeavors I feel like I self sabotage whenever I see any results. As if I’m unworthy of success.

Recently climbing back up from a very low point. I still hit the gym like normal, but my mind was not there. I just started to make it a point to focus on the things I'm thankful for compared to the dread of that 9 to 5 rat race. Its already helping a lot, just gotta keep that mind set as that dread can still point through from time to time still. Brian is speaking some major truths here. For those in a low spot, listen to what he has to say, it will help, it will not happen overnight, but stick with it.

I know how challenging life is with ADHD.I had to be really cautious with myself and with respect to my behavior and attitude at work.Same goes with training sessions.Sometimes,i get that sense of burnout and binge but now i am in control.I taked to my psychiatrist and have been taking strattera (atomoxetine) for over a month.Honestly,i feel good and feel like an adult again.I am more productive at work, been training harder than ever 4x week consistently and watching what i eat. Unlike first world countries like America, most folks from third world (from where i belong) don't pay much attention to mental/neural health.

@@eddiegrathwohl624 Jokes aside, that was the opposite of what you should do during anxiety attacks. It's a terrible affliction and it can take a hold of you regardless of your physical strength. I wouldn't wish this upon my enemy so anyone who has the same issue, go ahead and check Martin Burridge on this topic. He has so few views, I personally never believed in any of the hypnosis or therapy stuff but his methods nearly cured me. I used to go 160 bpm out of nowhere on a daily basis, with all my values perfectly normal, my heart looking healthy etc.
Turns out you need to train your mind too. Get well everyone!

Definitely feeling it. I toss and turn the last several hours of sleep, sometimes struggle to get to or stay asleep. Libido in the gutter and have some nagging/inconsistent joint pains that won't go away despite lots of PT. I suspect the stress plays a big role there. I'm not in a calorie deficit or overtrained either. I know I'm stressed and anxious but I don't know what to do about it. I don't like all the feel good stuff like baths, nature, walks, meditation, etc. I guess there isn't a lot I look forward to doing lol nor do I know what I'd enjoy. Besides outright destructive habits like gaming and chiefing but I don't see those as options.

@BrianAlsruheOfficial that's my bad for commenting before getting into the video. You touched on everything I said immediately. I've tried a lot but the breath work makes most sense to me. Since it can be done anywhere and does so directly affect our physiology. I got a couple books on it, I'll have to tap into one!
One that helps me most is a good todo list. Putting everything down and not having to keep them in the mind, then I can just consult the todo list when I'm worried about what my priority is this hour for example.
