  • Oistins Christ Church is best known for Friday Night Fish Fry Food, Drinks and Music. BUT this location has so much more to offer. The Jetty (A type of pier or boat docking port) is filled with so much to see and do. From swimming with the turtle to viewing the majestic sting rays to experiencing the fisherman life and catching a glimpse at a few fish, birds and watching the planes fly by as they are about to dock. There is so much to see and do at the Oistins Jetty, Christ Church, Barbados.

Ok the small beach where you were first is where we push off the boats. The small jetty is known as the ice jetty and its where the ice boats load up on ice.

Hi.. I loved your videos especially the fishing ones, I have just subscribed and I am looking forward to watching some more videos.
My wife and I stayed at a house in Fairholme gardens last December only 5 mins from Oistins. We loved Barbados that much we viewed about 6 houses to potentially buy one for when we retire.
We are coming back this December if everything goes to plan and I can maybe do some fishing next time as I never got the chance last time.
You wouldn't happen to know what the shore fishermen use for bait when they are fishing from the rocks and the beaches. Do they use fish or squid or worms, just so I can be prepared next time.
    Thank you and stay safe.
    Jay..

      Awww Thank you Jay.
I really hope you get to come back to Barbados soon.
You can watch fishing at Ositins by night video, that shows alot of what is used as bait.
In short they use squid, live bait of small fish like the needle nose fish (aka) garfish.
      Thanks
      Bri
