The fact that you can put this on your dog with one hand (the left at that) is proof of the ease of use! I ordered one today, based on your video and also a friend of ours has one for her dog and raved about it. Looking forward to it's arrival! Thanks!

I understand what you are trying to do but unfortunately the camera movements made me feel seasick. Consider a tripod for camera or a helper to hold camera it would improve you demonstration . :( I love these harness

What would be a good size for my Rottweiler/Mastiff mix. ... she measures 90cm around the chest and 60cm around the neck.
I’ve heard some people say the harness size runs small and others say it runs big so I’m unsure what size to get her?

Thanks, but I was hoping you could have done a video where you are walking the dog to see how this works on dogs that pull. I have tried a ton of harnesses and I need a good onem Mine pulls like crazy bc shes scared of everything. Plus her ton of energy for a 27 lb terrier. Shes pretty strong and fast and could pull an arm off if your not paying attention.

Hello! What lead would you recommend to use to stop pulling (attach to both front and back of harness) a training/multifunction lead with double attachments or one lead with the ruffwear coupler? There are so many reviews on harnesses that help to stop pulling but not much advice on the leads to go with them?

Do you think backing out of it would be an issue? I'm looking into harnesses for my anxious dog. She heels fine without distractions, but always pulls behind me when she's scared. Do you think hooking the leash to the front loop and a choke would fix these issues?

if you are concerned about your dog pulling out of the harness, perhaps the ruffwear web master would work better, it has extra strapping to prevent a dog from pulling away it also has a handle to enable you to get up close and pick the dog up

Will a dog still be able to pull well in this harness? Since I don't want two buy two separate harnesses, I'm looking for a harness that can be used for everyday walks but ALSO for times when I want to be pulled on skates/scooter.

Thanks for sharing the sizing. I need a new harness for my Pomeranian pup. These guys have tracheae issues so a quality well fit harness is key!

You would much more happier with a original fleece the front of the harness is way more wider than the ruffwear which means it will be way more lower on the front of the dogs chest. They also are recommended by vets because they don’t put any pressure on the ocular nerve.

Labra Kadabra thanks for the pointer. The RR is alright for now but I think a harness specifically designed for smaller active dogs would be great!

Do you have any tips on getting a dog used to wearing it? my dog hates wearing anything other than a collar but pulls like crazy

    • @damenwhelan3236

put it on the dog around the house and play out the back garden. this is best done (on the irony!!) after a long walk.
as the dog should be too tired to resist your corrections.
the place your fingers of one hand under a strap. (index and middle. while the song and pinkie are out side and run your hands along giving scratches with the fingers, pets and stokes with the free hand and praise.
this will normalise the harness for the dog.
instead of it being a new event or a step in the preparation for a walk, your dog should become adjusted to wearing it then as it has the collar.
once the tantrums and efforts to remove have become less frequent its then time to walk.
remeber to still correct your dog for pulling even while wearing the harness.
pulling on the lead is the first step for your dog to get up to a run.
if your dog believes it cannot even pull in the lead it won't even have the idea that it I able to run without instruction to do so.
dogs are intelligent. man is more so.
but we would be lost without our dogs.
      hope this helps!

+jaye s Yes.Try to find a close-fitting one. This one should work too, but every close-fitting harness is good for dogs who pull on leash.Your choice wich model of the harness will you use, or what brand.Ruffwear, Easy Walk dog harnesses, and Hurtta I reccomand. ;)

Beautiful harness, easy to put on and my dog and I love the padding.
However, my dog is having an eye operation soon and won't be able to wear this harness that slips over the head, as she will have to wear this funnel thing so she can't scratch and harm herself. Since she's not supposed to wear a collar, I will have to look for another option that does not slip over the head.

I recommend a step in harness.
I find them the most reliable.
the H shape are the best designed for wriggling dogs and usually aren't the chafing.
I use the step ins for my pittbull and American bull.
the Y step-in is good for pullers. and strong hindlegged breeds.
      alternatively.
there is an over the head harness that is all one length of strap that crosses at the back and closes at the side of the dog while being clipped on the back.
I use this one for my elderly and long legged dogs as the neck loop can be made ridulously large so no risk of catching eyes or noses and the posture to put it on looks like an open armed hug that my dogs just walk right through no problem and cal then be slipped tighter with no messing with a buckle or pull strap as these are adjusted then for a fixed size.
I hope your first friend has made a good recovery!

thanks for the recommendation. I am now using a step in harness and can confirm all you said. My dog is actually a little shaped like a pitbull and it appears these harnesses are made for them. Very stylish, too. LOL
Yes, my darling dog recovered 100% alright, thanks.

      yep.
I have every manner of personality my pack of 14.
walks are entertaining to say the least.
yep. step ins are wonderful for the "bullie" breeds.
I like to attach lights, like pedal bike lights to mine with a constant beam on since my bullies like to flank the pack we are all illuminated.
combined with the colored light tags reflective gear light up collars, it's a sight to be hold.
I am very pleased your guy has made such good recovery and hope you both the best for many years.
if ever you should need advice just ask.
what I don't know I would love to find out.
      thanks for the update!
      all the best.
      D

What size is good for a medium corgi about 25-30 lbs.

    • @BAbivaJr
      @BAbivaJr 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Zelly Ca would be best to measure your dog around its chest behind the front legs. Then refer to their sizing chart according to the measurements of your dog.
