Posting this here because I hope to help others considering combining the tt and bbl. Do not let anyone scare you into not doing them together! My tummy tuck and bbl combined was 6k cheaper than doing just the bbl and lipo 360...and my loose belly skin was the main concern I wanted to address. My recovery was a 6/10 at its worst, and my only real "pain" was from the swelling and soreness from the lipo. Sleeping was the most difficult part of the recovery as you can't be on your butt and must stay flexed at the waist. I ended up sleeping upright on my couch with a bedrest pillow behind my back, my butt in the "hole" of a circular pool float, and my legs elevated on an ottoman. Think "beach-chair" position. It's not going to be easy, but it is most certainly doable!
Thanks for sharing. Our patients do great and have short recoveries with our combo procedures. It’s all about the surgeon experience and execution that determines these outcomes.

Great video. Can you do a video on surgery length, and combining other surgeries? I know some surgeons out there do 11-12 hour surgeries and will combine thigh lifts with body lifts. I have never seen you combine a body lift with a thigh lift in any of your videos, can you talk about why? Thanks !
I know I did a video on this some time ago. Any surgery over 8 hours like that should never be done, it basically means the surgeons don’t have high-level of experience and expertise. A slow surgeon usually is a less experienced and less technically able surgeon. Longer operative times mean higher blood loss and higher risk of blood clots. If I did a body lift with a thigh lift, it would be approximately 7 to 7 1/2 hour surgery. The issue is that I just can’t do a good enough job doing all of them because the blood loss starts to get too high and the recovery isn’t painful.
@@drsamercabbabe Thanks for such a detailed reply. So would you consider a body lift and thigh lift in the same surgery for the appropriate patient (low BMI, ideal health, younger, etc)? Or are you saying that 7-7.5 hours may be too long? I did notice you combined a LBL with a breast lift recently. Thank you.
So J plasma is more is a gimmick for sales and doesn’t really tighten the skin enough to make it worth an xtra 1k?
Not in my opinion.
I was thinking of getting both surgeries at the same time but I'm thinking about the pain after because its a lot to go through. So is best to get the tummy tuck first then go back to get bbl because better results is better to wait till 6 months for the bbl . I have loose skin from losing weight so i need tummy tuck and breast lift surgery. And i will get bbl after.
Do it all together. Adding BBL adds no pain to the tummy tuck. Best to get together. You can always do a second round (BBL) if needed/desired. Don’t let them do lipo on your abdomen without getting the TT otherwise damage is permanent
@@drsamercabbabe but how will I rest if I get all surgeries together I can't take all that surgery I have to do it part by part because is 4 surgeries I have to get which is arm lift beast lift and tummy tuck and bbl I can't do all that at once and your body needs time to heal
People who want both a tummy tuck and bbl at the same time are CRAZY or ignorant. They aren't thinking of the PAIN and RECOVERY.
The tummy tuck alone is HELL can't stand up straight bent over for a week , have to lay on back., The back pain pelvic pain OMG.
So how a person going to get bbl if they have to lay on back all the time. I don't trust it I would be scared to pay a lot ofoney and lose results.
We do over 100 tummy tuck and BBL’s in combination together every year and our patients will tell you the exact opposite. Why would you wanna go through two surgeries and two costs when you’re throwing away fat etc.? I think most of this information comes from Miami where they’re not allowed to do much liposuction because too many people die having surgery there and so they try to sell it as if it needs to be done in two surgeries. Or it comes from non-plastic surgeons who don’t know how to do tummy tucks and so they say do a BBL first and then go back and get a tummy tuck. Either way it’s gonna cost you more in the long run financially and physically
Great information. It makes sense to do both at the same time, as you said who wants to do two surgeries? May I ask why patients are dying in Miami and why they aren’t able to do liposuction?
@@kellz8191u want to put yourselve in all that pain is better to do it separately u will get a better results I seen women complain about tummy and bbl together they complain about the healing and pain remember a tummy tuck is pain by itself and u can't ly down on your butt with the bbl so how will u sleep?
@@kellz8191 I believe in miami, there are limits as to how much fat can be removed via liposuction for patient safety. People are dying because ignorant/untrained surgeons are injecting fat into the muscle, often causing fat embolisms. The fat should be grafted above the muscle. There are surgeons still who will tell you its ok to inject into the muscle! Be careful
