It seems the agents were only nice to Baby Mae when they found out she was making money legally. Then the became very interested in how they could become a Vlogger. I think half of her interview was more for their own personal interest of how to become a Vlogger. This was a true testament to a typical day in the Philippines, only with a positive outcome. Look how much prep time you put into this, which again is typical for getting by here. Thanks for this update!

That departure process is so unnecessarily intrusive and it is so sad that Baby Mae and others have to go thru that. I understand they ostensibly want to protect the ladies but they could do so in a friendlier manner. I am glad Mae survived and can now enjoy your trip.
I agree with you . Maybe it’s just me but my feeling is the immigration officials sometimes seem to overstep their boundaries , are rude , and abuse the power they are given. Yes I understand they have a job to do and questions are necessary but here and in my experience it can be a bit excessive.
In a sense I feel the same. Especially when my lady was involved.. but on the other hand, there have been a lot of horror stories of human and sex trafficking which probably prompted these sorts of protocols. It is a little patronising but if left unchecked it could get a wee nasty. There are lots of slaves being imported in middle east from Africa, some governments tried to regulate it, but with no success due to corruption and porous borders.
