Caltrain discontinued service to Atherton Station in December 2020. We will visit the station on its final days and witness the last train leaving that station.
This seems like it’s meant to be sad, but tbh, I think this stations closure was inevitable. I don’t really think there was a huge point in even making it. Menlo park station is very nearby, so it’s not incredibly hard to get there instead of this aging station

When you drive a high end car like a Tesla or a BMW in Atherton, who needs a train station there

People who prefer to take the train over driving their metal death trap everywhere

Plus this same town caused so much legal problems for Caltrain they deserve the station to go bye bye
@@qjtvaddict I'm not surprised Atherton caused problems for CalTrain. It's a wealthy bay area suburb, which means it's full of NIMBYS
im really sad this station is closing down
It was weekend only so the station was useless
