One thing ted on teds holdover mentioned about scope cameras and glass quality that might be of interest was for the camera to be better you need to change the eye relief optical adjuster back all the way in rather than having it on the scope when the eye relief is set to your eye . He found it was poorer quality otherwise
Hey Piet, since you have more than one Gen3 and probably will be handling multiple ones, have you noticed inconsistencies on turret feel? I been talking to other owners (online) and we agree that theres a lot of variance from scope to scope. My Gen3 turrets are quite stiff and not very audible unless spun fast while other shooters experience different issues, for example the locking issues you spoke about I can tell you I have not experienced that but a lot others have. I have never owned a Razor line product so this is my first experience with their top tier products.
Juan i have same experience. Stiff elevation turrets and clicks not as loud as my ATACR. I don't like when you turn the turret and you apply downward pressure and it locks like Piet says. The big pro is comparing my NF ATACR to the GEN 3. Both glass are crystal clear. I actually lean slightly towards the Gen 3. Eye relief at high magnification on Gen 3 is better than the NF, big bonus for me.

I recently bought a lightly used gen 3 Razor in 6-36x and after getting it mounted and zeroed I ran a tall target test. I came up with about a 1% error. That means if you dial in 10 mil elevation, one click will correct for the error. One percent is not very much.

The gen lll Vortex is made in the same factory. But the Athlon is half the price. Vortex has to charge more for all the insane marketing they do to consumers. That's why every new shooter I talk to always brings up Vortex because that's all they know and its been shoved down everyone's throats at every sporting goods store and ad

PS - do you ever use the lines near center dot within first 0.2mil hash? I wish they would get rid of those 4 ~0.1mil lines so i can focus better on center dot (tangent theta gen3xr reticle like - but I like the ebr more for every other part of reticle)
The goal of the 3 optics would be to stick to the wheelhouse, adding another optic in there that has nothing to do with the lineup would be out of place in that video

In essence can get the NF 7-35 for round about the same $ as Gen3; so a review that had Gen3 vs ATACR 7-35 would be something Id like - and I can see it being a big topic, numerous views, in 6-12mths (maybe make 2 vids!!) Either way keep it up, love your content!

I fixed my falling turret with a large o ring it pulls into the gap that is created when you pull it up. It keeps it from locking. Works great

Looks like vortex is repairing the elevation turret and adding a stiffer detent so that it does not lock while adjusting

I plan on getting a custom 22lr next season. Do you think the razor gen 3 would be the best for me. I’ll be shooting nrl22 and prs Rimfire.
I use it for 22 and works great with 50 moa in base and mount combined can dial to 500 yards with no holdover using a mil radian ffp
