    You are completely right! Can’t beat the newer GoPros in the smoothness of the video. It’s the best POV camera out there and great for us that self film our hunts. Especially for when the deer walks out of frame on your main camera right when you shoot.

      100% agree on the new GoPro cameras being the best out there!!

    Thats sweet. I’ve been wanting to film my hunts from my bow and I’ve been bouncing back n forth between the different cameras. This helps my decision quite a bit. Thanks Kip!

    That's really good. Just the kind of video I was looking for. I can't stand using the camcorder and the arm, so I am going to try this. A close-up of the actual mount setup would have been nice, but it's all good. Thanks!

    What attachment do you use to attach your GoPro to your bow. I have an old hero6 I would like to filing my next hunt.

      Nothing wrong with that brother!! That's how we rolled on our hunts before we got into the filming back in 2006ish. Good luck on your hunts!!

    How does operation compare to the one button on Tactacam? I've used neither but I'm in the market. My cheap knock off has given up on me. I like the idea of simple use and remote operation.

    • @inthewoods4732
      @inthewoods4732 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      GoPro is one button too

    • @nate_stanton
      @nate_stanton 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@inthewoods4732 Awesome! Very good to know. Do they have remote capabilities? I assume you use one? If so, how do you like it?

    • @inthewoods4732
      @inthewoods4732 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nate_stanton I use the GoPro 7 black as a back up camera. They do have remotes for them but you can also use your phone as a remote with the app. That’s what I do. I mount it within reach when I’m in the stand and verify that everything is in view with my phone then when I see a deer all I have to do is press the button and it’s recording. If you go to my channel and watch about the first minute of the latest video there are some GoPro angles and shots on it. Hope that helps. Good luck hunting!

      Definitely recommend the new GoPro cameras. Much more functionality, picture is better, and the operation is super smooth if you want to link up more than one camera with the remote option. We've used both cameras, and the Tactacam got the job done at the time, but for what we want out of our POV cameras, the GoPro is what we're filming with in addition to our main production camera

      Definitely one of the tools we use to film our hunts, and we've seen some awesome hunting videos produced with content just from POVs, but there is a difference for sure

      We've hunted a few states where we couldn't either. That rule needs to be changed - makes no sense at all and has absolutely nothing to do with how ethical the hunt is! We appreciate you watching! We've got a good Hunt Camp video coming Friday featuring the one and only Uncle Ted!!

    It’s pretty easy to get a GoPro sponsorship. Get the hook it app and apply for it. They gave me one and I only have 72 subscribers.

    • @Red_Arrow
      @Red_Arrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We're not doing this just to get a GoPro sponsorship - we have no ties to their brand at all. Used their cameras for years because we believe in them, and we get a ton of questions about POV cameras and filming hunts so we wanted to get this video out to show y'all our set up and talk cameras!

    • @Red_Arrow
      @Red_Arrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To each his own! We have found much more success with the GoPro cameras functionality. That said, we also use our POV cameras for different purposes since we use that content to produce our episodes airing on TV, and the GoPros help us get better footage with more production functionality.
