    "It's not like we'll be having year over year 10% inflation" - That did NOT age well haha Nice video.

    How does this compare to a 959 or V2? I am also trying to decide between something like this or the Aprilia RS 660.

      Most people won't be able to feel the difference between the 899 and 959 to V2. Differences in low end power band would be the most obvious and the V2 has the quick shift down as well. My take is that the 899 is almost as good for far less money with better styling. But the V2 styling is really growing on me and the single sided swing arm is so beautiful lol. I personally would not take the rs660 over any Ducati super mid. Ducati is more reliable and this stage and has more power (and personally I think looks much better)

    I'm gonna be trying to get a 1199 today, with 15k miles. I'm super pumped and it just got the 15k miles service done just shy of 15k.

      @@BalancePointMedia I got the bikeee!! 😁just gotta figure out what’s wrong with the rear brake. Air keeps getting in. Or just as you said my caliper might be wrecked since it has aftermarket rear sets.

      @@jkljkl218 oh if it does have rearsets have the pedal position checked
      Here’s a video explaining what happened to mine. Expensive mistake lol. Might not be exactly what’s going on with yours but still might good info for future reference
      And congrats on the bike!!! I love the 1199. Have a good friend who owns two 😂

    I got a 899 with shy of 9100 miles, picked it up for 3k with a little damage but I wanted your opinion on the clutch cover as the clutch shield itself actually broke , but the bike is in good condition besides plastics

    • @BalancePointMedia
      @BalancePointMedia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Try replacing the clutch cover and going from there
      If there’s no other major damage that’s a good buy!

    @mypalAbra ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can’t you just replace the spring? Or buy a new used passenger peg? Seems worth it for the headache it gives you

      Haven't tried it yet but that will probably work! Sometimes I forget about it when I ride and then remember when I let a friend ride it lol

    Nice video man! Im looking to purchasing a 2014 899 with 22k miles guy said he did the 2k$ service has all paperwork/service log for maintenance listed for 9500$ is this a good deal ? Never owned a ducati im iffy on pulling the trigger

      So actually that sounds like my bike (this exact one in the video) lol if it's in Menifee. I sold mine to someone who ended up changing his mind after having it serviced and removing my tank sliders, wheel stripes, and clutch cover and sold it to the guy in Menifee. I don't know how they took care of the bike but I babied it lol
      If it's the bike in Menifee you can watch our Panigale videos to get an idea of everything I did to it while I had it. I loved it but I just didn't ride anymore and it didn't make sense to have two motorcycles lol. I had to choose the RC51 to keep (it's really rare)
      For $9500 if they really did complete a major service I'd say it's a good price, but I would have to see what all was actually done in the servicing since I sold it with the understanding that my buyer would complete the servicing
      The parts that are still on the bike are very high quality: HIDs, Rearsets, levers, sliders, grips, fender eliminator, screen, exhaust. The tires I purchased myself and the bike needed a chain when I sold it so you'll have to see what kind of chain is on it now.
      The bike would occasionally have a false neutral but that's a very common Ducati issue across their entire line up and is usually solved by a full clutch bleed or drain and fill. I communicated this to my buyer but he was new to Ducati so maybe he didn't believe me lol
      Let me know if you have any other questions! I really wanted that bike to go to someone who was going to love and take care of it and was a little disheartened when I saw it for sale again so quickly
