This is one of my fave Frames songs. I remember being asked to write out the lyrics of any song that popped into our heads in English class years ago and i wrote out this. It speaks about restlessness to me. I can relate. :)
I've seen this song live 3 times, and each time the violin interlude was different. Last night he broke into "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka midway. Also "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" the time before that. GO ON GLEN!
their first album was called "Another Love Song", released in 1992 on Island Records. They were dropped from the label and then went on to record "Fitzcarraldo" themselves in 1995.
When watching old videos like this it makes me wonder where I was at the time this music video was first being recorded and what I was doing at the time and how I was missing out on this stuff.
The lyrics are just beautiful! I am a new fan of the frames. I've only heard very few of their songs (the first ever I heard was falling slowly), but I think I am going to fall in love with them! =D
this song is so fresh..listen to these lyrics..absolutely amazing.. love this band..love you the frames..should have been known more..just have to say what i feel...
saw Glen and the Frames in Houston as the Swell Season. one of the best shows I have ever seen. I hope they come to Houston again soon. would love the Frames to open for the Swell Season. couldn't get much better than that, no?
Trying this again. It's the Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island, probably on the "N" or "Q" train. A long ride and a long ride over the bridge. The amusement area of Coney Island is to be torn down this year and only the roller coaster will remain. The thing with the "oil bursting" is an old parachute ride. Also to be torn down this year, if not already torn down.
The Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island. Since they wind up in Coney Island, it has to be the Brooklyn Bridge that they cross, regardless of what train line went there in 1999. It's actually a long ride and a long ride just over the bridge. All of the amusement area of Coney Island is to be torn down and redone, leaving only the roller coaster, this year. The thing with the "oil bursting" is actually and old parachute ride, also to be torn down.
Mi artista favorito. Desde que lo descubrí en "Once" su tipo de música me cautivó y encantó, simplemente no puedo evitar escuchar esto sin que un sentimiento de tristeza y cariño recorra mi cuerpo. Grande Glen
I think he was looking for other songs from The Frames.. I'd suggested Star Star, Angel At My Table, Red Chord, Revelate, Pavement Tune, Dream Awake, Perfect Opening Line, Seven Day Mile....
May I ask you what is the meaning of "you're ver word I'm heeding"? I know what "to heed" means, but I can't actually understand the point of the whole phrase.. btw I love this song!
Somebody religious would heed the word of God. Glen seems to have faith in the person he's singing about. But what do I know..I don't understand these people:)
This question might sound really stupid but does anyone know where the video on the bridge is filmed? I've seen the electrical post (? not sure exactly what it is called) that seems to have oil bursting out of it on the cover of the novel Requiem for a Dream. If someone could let me know where this is that'd be great :)

I suspect that you are unashamedly plugging here! The use of the word deadly gives you away as being from Ireland I am afraid! Being Irish I think this is funny!
Ain't got no words for this pure lyrical voyage, with the most beautiful arrangements and performance. Maybe the most lovely song I've ever heard.

Such a brilliant song. Saves life during lockdown!
i love this song and doesn't matter what anyone says about it. i will still love it...

Teach me how to listen to songs by Glen, The Frames and Marketa. It's about immediate feelings, love, emotions...I'm impressed.
their first album was called "Another Love Song", released in 1992 on Island Records. They were dropped from the label and then went on to record "Fitzcarraldo" themselves in 1995.

"I believe in this song" I think that's the only true thing I can say about.
A perfect song.
