“Nice. Mice! OOPA-“ is still one of my favorite jokes on this channel. Really glad to see one of my first videos I’ve seen here still holds up all those years later. Keep up the great work man!
Konami also made an active time turn based wrestling rpg with third person platforming, aliens and survival horror elements set on Christmas in Washington and released on N64. It's called Hybrid Heaven and it's honestly just as great as it is weird and damn it's weird as hell
A Gamer Aaron there were games that got inspiration from it, in a way. The combo system for one is kinda similar to the one used in Shadow Hearts 3, also a similar the wait and dodge to build up power mechanic has been used in a couple RPG's before it, like Parasite Eve and Panzer Dragoon Saga. Tho I really do wish I someone would finally decide to make another wrestling alien active time turn based survival horror RPG like Hybrid Heaven. Brazilian Ninjas, Mitohondria Princess and bio-engineerd lazor Dragons are all nice but wrestling on christmas eve is also nice.
Dewy's Adventure: 3D Fluidity * Black stuff you have t get rid of * Play as water * Water can turn into ice or steam * Tilt Wii-Remote to move water around Need I say more?
Right after my update promising faster uploads, I got hit with a lot of stuff in my personal life. But it's mostly been resolved now so this should be the start of said promise! I love weird games and hope to make many videos on them in the future, but with Konami being such a hot topic right now, why not take a look at some weirdness they created?
+AntDude I don't understand what you said at around 4:04 ~ how exactly is it "incredibly creepy" that a girl reads a story to a boy? can you explain please? thank you! : )
+Fakeromon so Is Gradius, Leon Belmont, Solid Snake, The Paper Airplane guys from Parodius, Goemon, Getsu Fuuma den. Good times to collect these when I was playing it.
Some_Stupid_Nerd the funny thing is I would have liked metal gear survive if it was dlc for v like read dead's undead nightmare and also came out 4-5 years earlier before the genre was done to dead.
Some_Stupid_Nerd the sad thing too was it actually could of been cool if it wasn’t overladen with micro transactions and also in terms of story MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR MGSV: Seriously though you could have played as the medic in a world where he never became big boss and we could watch him sorta become his own legend instead of being forced to be someone else. Doesn’t that sound pretty cool. Like imagine a new diamond dogs run by the new Boss.
Mario Party 9 is excellent, I think, because it finally fixed the glacial pace the previous games had and the minigames are great, if somewhat lacking in numbers. Besides, there's 11 Mario Party games that still have the "classic" MP gameplay, so I'd say it's a much needed change of pace.
Arthur2light Konami didn't make Mario Party 9. It was developed by Nd Cube, though technically it's still hudson soft making mario party games as alot of the employees are staff that developed the previous hudson mario party games (+ Sonic Shuffle if you count that). I think you may need to double check your research. :P
***** Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearer. I think that one comes to mind because it isn't even weird in the ways you would expect it to be. But in terms of Japanese WTFISEVEN games, Mischief Makers comes to mind. I don't think it's quite as weird as these games, but if you think about it, it's kinda weird. Especially towards the end of world 3. Mischief Makers is also a fantastic game.
I think the weird thing might be Krampus? I mean, Krampus is known for taking away children via a basket (like the intro) and has a pagan goat appearance (like the final boss).
@@shardtheduraludon Well Sakurai directed it himself so I'm sure he threw in some canon explanations to certain things. But it could also be just for the anime, like, you know, Meta Knight's voice and everything lol.
Quick comment: The girl in a kimono was referencing a Japanese fairy tale about Kaguya, the princess of the moon. It has to do with a bamboo cutter finding a tiny girl in a stalk of bamboo, sort of like Thumbelina. This same legend is also referenced in Okami, by the way. Also, in Japan, rather than the "man in the moon" they see a rabbit, and there's a legend about how it got there.
Right when you made that sugary levels are "sweet" pun, the video broke. No, seriously, the video literally CRASHED the moment you said "Sweet". Good job.
Makes sense why Dewie's weakness is water. He falls, in, and it's like getting trapped in a sea of people. It's like Goron Link, who dies in water because he sinks like a... rock.
I think I can explain the final boss of Upa: The appearance of Satan is sometimes described as having the body of a man while having the head of a goat...so maybe Upa is about Doomguy as an infant and how he's always been able to kick ass EVEN AS A BABY?
It makes sense that dewy dies from water as he combines with the body of water as he forgets it's identity. Not knowing his own self, he contemplates suicide.
I like this guy's ending nice job. "Konami says mobile gaming is the future, that just means they forgot how to make good games." *Claps Hands* Well played.
NZ Man123 I think what mindfucked me the most was the Alaskan Bull Worm, not just the level, but also at the ending. Tho it's a pretty good game and I like it!
The first game you showed, Bio Miracle I’m Upa (the title in English) actually has more story than it seems. Here’s the real, actual story from Wikipedia (which is probably taken from the instruction manual or something, as there’s quotations in it suggesting such): "Upa is the prince of a magical kingdom and the most recent in a line of brave fighters. One day, though, he broke an urn containing the spirit of Zai, an incredibly evil goatish demon who takes the life force of the kingdom's adults and kidnaps all the babies - except for Upa, who is given a magical rattle by a fairy who was trapped in the urn along with Zai. And so, in order to save his kingdom, Upa crawls into action..."
i love the parodius series!!! even though the classical music would make it extremely hard to bring over(and konami digging their own grave with how much their asking for it with their decisions.)really would love to see a collection of the games.(along with gradius & otomedius.:3)

Water being weak to water actually makes some sense as the water would reabsorb him back into the puddle.
i can imagine the lego yoda death sound as Dewey gets zucced into the water.
''Konami is a legendary company''
Oh how time has changed
Ow.
Now, all they’re interested in is making mobile pay to play games bc of the money. :( That’s just sad
How'dYouGetKilledByAMotherfuckingParalyzedTaillow to be fair they’re still kinda legendary though it’s been a while this they made anything

One of the older Parodius games had a boss that was a tanuki.
With visible genitals.
Guess where you can shoot to interrupt his attacks. Just guess.
Slashthekitsune the tail!
Slashthekitsune the dick
Slashthekitsune You Shoot The Invisible genitals. What? You Didn't Hear It Had Invisible genitals?
The head.
If this was TVTropes, there'd be a link to Groin Attack.

One of your best yet. What a great and... interesting send-off. RIP Konami. RIP Hudson Soft. Fuck Konami.

"Yes, sir."

What are you doing here shouldn't you be working on a video

I'm getting some peanut butter gamer vibes
Tyler Daberoni he even said "video gameessss" the same way pbg once said "im playing video gameesssss" when pbg was playing a wii game
So if someone adds a little alliteration to their dialogue they are ripping off another TH-camr?
Warren Brown So if someone points out a similarity they are accusing one of the similarities of ripping off the other one?
Fightmaster what??
Warren Brown similarities don't mean rip offs

Dewy's adventure is a underrated classic that konami made.
when naming off classic Konami games you forgot Silent Hill, that was a pretty damn inspirational game.

GENIUS.
bokkutte upa translates to "i'm upa" so the title of the game is "bio miracle-i'm upa

Your best video yet! Awesome job dude :D your jokes are getting quite good

You deserve more subs, you make quality videos

'cough' Binding of isaac anyone? This game really looks like an inspiration that edmund might have used.
I remember getting Pokemon Ruby, and my sister bought Dewy, I also remember Hot dogs. That was a good day.
Ok that Dewy’s Adventure part was interesting and funny at the same time
Game #1 was featured in a "Let's Play" by Deceased Crab, who specializes in playing games with funny commentary.
I remember you playing Elebits on your Sonikdude101 channel. Will it be okay to rereview it again Antdude? I also have its DS sequel also. :)
I'm so glad I came across your channel, you put in some much effort into high equality videos you deserve a lot more Subs then you have! Keep it up man :) -Madoc
2:01 I think there are these electric pig things in Japan that have mouths like that and they emit smoke to help keep insects away.
Nice vid! You get better each video. :)
Blue stickman guy is called Koitsu, literally translating to "This Guy". He's a Yu-gi-oh card.
3:45
The artist of that cinematic would go on to make Into the Abyss.
does anyone know where that blue and pink penguin are from?, i remember them from an arcade game I played when I was younger

luke johnston Bless your soul. I thought I'd never find it!
You forgot that there is a special stage in that last game with an invincible enemy called the 16 Bit Block.
How interesting that gradius is also in Yugioh as a monster card
I love Gradius, but I also love Parodius every game is such a drug trip
Some funny stuff man, I'm a recent fan.. as of today. I myself love weird games, and especially hacked roms. I've done a few rom hacks myself in the past. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the original Zelda on NES, Final Fantasy 6, and Golden Sun TLA.

8:24. IS THAT FREAKING DON FLAMENCOS THEME FROM PUNCH OUT?? HOLY CRAP!
