    Confirms about the experiences I got in Germany with the e-Soul. About 300-350km range on autobahn with max. 120-130kmh. Around 400km when driving 100-110kmh. Really efficient on low speeds, more thirsty on high speeds compared to Kona and Niro.

    • @magnusenorson
      @magnusenorson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Indeed. Rather unsurprising though, given the more brick-like shape :) I love mine though, looks SO much better than Niro/Kona.

    For the winter mode to be active, the car need to be moving , baterie need to be under 33% and the temperature need to be less than -5 degrees C , I learn this from a Kona forum

    Looks like a dead backlight.. It's hopefully LED based, but that still draws some amount of power, and the power delivery circuit could be faulty and overheating. Or there's a connection that suffers when the temperature rises, and becomes a "wackelcontact".

    I´m curious about what a Mini Cooper SE could do on similar conditions...not great range, but most likely very good consumption...

    Battery heating thing was weird. Was going to say i had seen my Niro continue to heat up to the 25C point but it may have stopped at 15 or so when getting to the threshold for max charging on a 50kW. I don't charge very often on ultra rapid, and when I have I've started with a warm battery. Going to have to turn up at one at 15-20C and see what happens! I was wondering if you meant there was an ambient of 15C above which the heater wasn't active.

    Would it be possible for you to test 3-4 classic Ioniqs 2017/2018 with average milage to check battery degregration? The same as you did in the classic Souls and e-Golfs. I still find the classic Ioniqs a tempting purchase for a daily runaround..

    I do get close to 500km normal Swedish highways(100-120km/h) on the E-niro when its 20-25c out, in eco mode. But more realistic is 450km if you don't drive like a grandmother. The cold-gate is annoying as hell when on roadtrips in winter.

  • @apocrypth

    yep. Winter mode is for nothing other than maybe, and really just maybe, when car is stationary and battery is freezeing seriously, it will maybe try to heat it to get it above zero...
    Charging wise, this is like it is always, no fix from KIA for this (some weak promises but only for EV6/Ioniq5)
