I like Steve's banjo. It has a nice tone and his playing is distinctive enough that I can usually spot it. (And this from someone who doesn't much like bluegrass.)
This tune just makes me want to leave home and embark on a great new adventure with action, magic and best of all, romance... There will be a wedding in case you're wondering!
I went to Ledbetter's. I was in my teens. I got to know most of the Back Porch Majority. I also met John come to think of it. What a voice. Those were the good ol days!
BEAUTIFUL! Reminds me of Ledbetter's in Westwood in the 60s. John Denver had just left as the 2nd bill behind the Back Porch Majority ('New Folk'). So they got this other guy to come in as the 2nd bill, played banjo and did goofy comedy . . . go figure. (I was just a 'boy' but loved the place and got some good personal advice from John when he told me I should start playing guitar! I'd asked if he'd back me up at the open mic/hootenanny he hosted Sunday eves; he said, "sure, but . . . ")

I find it funny that you advertise on a Steve Martin video. You know he wrote a song for atheists right?
