This demonstration is extraordinarily helpful to someone who, like me, was, until now, playing « by ear » with a total disregard for the correct timing of scores, simply because I had not been taught it. Thank you so very much for enlightening me. Your video is absolutely excellent and is teaching me to finally Play with the correct rhythm. Sokange F.
I watched this early in my piano practice, I subbed to your channel, and found out I was unsubbed. Thankfully I found it again since you really have great practical videos.
The last 16th note after the 8th, and 16th note rests in the first measure of the final bar tripped me up for a second. Coffee helped. Great Video! Thanks! =)
Wow lol I’ve Been drumming for basically all my life (only 20) but I gotta say I’m really glad my high school band director really drilled us to learn syncopations 😭 this was super fun and I was so concentrated the whole time 👏🏾👌🏾
Oh my God, I barely know anything about reading music. I took my time to figure out what was going on. But once I figured it out, it really seemed a fun way to learn syncopation. Definitely coming back to practice again.
Awesome practice. Any chance of creating a practice video devoted to the different types of triplets. I am struggling with crotchet triplets at the mo.
They need to stop cappin When I am rappin I got no time I’m in the hamptons I gotta shine I’m into fashion Be like sublime Way I be… Aye Way I be…. Ayeeee
After exercises like this, my problem becomes not holding white notes for long enough. It's as if being "zoomed in" makes me forget how long long notes really are.
I dont understand some of the pauses still have notes so how do you read them as pauses ? Sometimes even with a tying symbol attached. If the intention was to leave a pause why bother writing a note at all ?
to sustain notes, create variety in music by short and long notes. If we have never played your music, we do not know how long to make the notes. do you want all notes to be same length? think of people lecturing that way.
sleep clears toxins from the brain sir viking.... no guitar battles can be won if ones brain is full of toxins.... sleep is the key step in fingers learning..

First time I've seen this way of teaching syncopation - and it works!
My gratitude for being in 2022💌 Thanks for the creation of this tutorial! 💌
This was way more fun and entertaining than it had any right to be. Felt like I was playing a rhythm game. I mean, I was; but I wasn't expecting to.
The last 16th note after the 8th, and 16th note rests in the first measure of the final bar tripped me up for a second. Coffee helped. Great Video! Thanks! =)
