    The changes for 2021 are really minor, but what do you think of the look of this Nightshade model? I like that Toyota offers several variations of the Camry like "L" models, "S" models, the TRD, and this Nightshade. What would you go for?

      No wonder the Camry can get pricier than its competitors. Reliability is one but also because Toyota is doing something you typically find in luxury brands

      Customization / mix and match options in trims

    I had a 2019 Honda Accord Sport that was totaled in an accident in January. When I bought it 2 1/2 years ago, I thought I would get used to the drivetrain set up but I never did. I found the car mildly frustrating most of the time. The turbo lag and CVT drone, along with the loud interior and jittery ride from the 19" tires all combined to make for an unsatisfying experience behind the wheel. I am now the proud owner of a 2022 Camry SE! It is nimble and well planted, and possesses a quiet ride. With the Camry, I no longer have to crank up the music to drown out the road noise! After about 100 miles on the odometer, the 2.5 L engine and 8 speed transmission have proven to be a much more responsive set up than the Honda. Maybe the Accord will best the Camry in 0-60 speed tests, but around town, the Camry 4 cylinder drivetrain is a much more pleasant and satisfying combination.

      Is a pia to keep clean though. The only thing I don't like about it. And u can already tell I'm going to have to polish it regularly because it's going to get swirl marks really easily. Other than that I love it lol. Nothing I can't handle but it has paint imperfections right off the lot. Light swirl marks. Really irritating. Nothing I can't get out though.

      After doing research on detailing forums is not uncommon for new cars to have paint swirl and imperfections. The area exposed to elements prior to sale. Whether it be by train, boat, car carrier etc. New cars do pick up contaminants along the way. Detailer telling me new cars just as well as older cars need clay barred, polished, etc.... So I'm not surprised, but the car being the color it is I can see things much more evidently. I'm going to use a good decontamination wash, clay bar it, polish it, and then buff it. I think it'll look great after that. And it's probably not really that bad, but when it's yours and you've bought it new things stand out more. Esp me being as ocd as I am. I also have a 2013 Civic that looks literally like it just came off the showroom.

    I prefer the XSE v6 w red interior. But probably the 2020 model. Toyota didn’t have to change the rims for 2021
    Also if you get the x trims the interior quality on the doors improves. It’s noticeable
    And also the rear USB ports are a dealer accessory. Additionally for the touchscreen placement, it’s not that bad imo. Ive seen worse (ford Explorer)

    Thank you for always mentioning the aggressive forward bending headrests. Unfortunately ALL vehicles are that these days, even on my 2014 Prius C and as a result, I just rip it off and drive without it. Those huge things seriously obstruct view to the rear and the blindspot combined with the chunky B pillar.

  • @amaurypineda1834
    @amaurypineda1834 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You’re wrong about the rear view camera. I just got this car (se nightshade with convenience package and blind spot) and it has dynamic lines. Also the tilted head rest on the seats are the same Toyota has been using for more than a decade. My previous camry 2012 xle has the same seats. It doesn’t bother. It’s not fair you say this about this model when all others come with the same thing.

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The seats were redesigned for the 2018 model year. Read their press materials and you’ll see that. The whole car was updated. I own a 2017 lol. The seat shape is different and the headrest especially (because they want improved whiplash crash ratings.) not all Toyota seats are like this either. The Avalon seats are similar with the headrest angle but the 4Runner, for example, has much less aggressive headrests.

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@amaurypineda1834 the difference is the angle of the headrest. Lots of newer cars have further forward angles headrests to help with head restraint in an accident.
      I just sent you Toyota’s own specifications.
      The SE Nightshade they sent obviously didn’t have dynamic lines, but if yours does then Toyota incorrectly labeled it. No reason to get butt hurt about it. I believe you, but this one didn’t have it and the material they gave me says it’s not available on Nightshade, so obviously they made a mistake.
